Just arrived today. I'm not sure if that's grease on the obverse(black marks) or toning. Leaning towards grease marks.
I don't think there's a way to clean it...is there?

It’s silver.
In that case, if acetone doesn't work, I'd suggest a quick dip in e-z-est or tarnex. I have my flame retardant suit on so everyone can tell me how wrong I am. If you need a second opinion, just ask ricko.

Alan is touring without a warm up band.
Last year's tour was turn of a friendly card 40th anniversary.
Alan was sound engineer at abby road in late 60's.
His sonic contributions have been in my soul since I was a child in the 60's
It was a joy to see Alan.
It was also a joy to see Ron & Joe play at ANA Summer Seminar's in the early 1990's while several of us students were
striking up errors on their mini mint with their dies while they played blue grass.

So that is an Even strike. Super popular!
Congrats. …. Great price
Here are some of the new silver and copper medals he is striking.
From an older die he had but re-engraved them.

I sent in a 1904 $20 Liberty head gold $20 and he overstruck my medal.
The overstrike came out super well. Just enough to see the undertype but not
make it busy looking. This is amazing!

.I think he refers to it as “the train wreck” but, I think it’s a 1796 dollar with half struck over it.
I have a regular image and the one below it is showing the edge(gives full train effect)
.
.
And this is last year when they were checking to see what amount of pressure it needed to stamp the nickels.
Judging by the die cap it was to much…..lol. I recently sent this back so he can stamp his initials into it.
The double eagle overstrike to compliment your 1796 overstrikes is beautiful! I love the stars in the sky!
Ide imagine the Eureka Springs coin would look super if done with a .9999 1oz Buffalo as well…
I was scrolling through an old Landis thread and saw the original design Felix Schlag nickels done in various metals which prompted me to reach out to Landis studios and secure a golden piece from the back room for my collection.
I was able to get one of the copper proof setup pieces as well. I’m currently in negotiations to secure the silver proof and matte coins as well as the Nickel planchet from a collector here…
You have been an inspiration, and I really like the look of your set slabbed in the SEGS plastic.

One can find Ron Landis / GMM mini-mint tokens commemorating ANA, FUN, or Numismatic Club shows all day, every day minted up in pewter / white metal.
That seemed to be the medal du jour when Ron & Joe traveled around making them. Off-metal strikes however seem to be as rare as "hens teeth."

Alan Parsons drums the other night, 40th anniversary of Eye In The Sky album shot from row two
When I got Ron to autograph my gift medal at Denver show he told me the edge on each one for 1996 event was hand engraved
Very cool. I forgot about that image reference to Alan Parsons.
I wonder if Ron would tour with them?

An interesting die that Ron hand engraved for Intaglio Mint many years ago. Obverse only, it was used for the first time this year.
On the reverse, I do like the lettering in the circular denticles near the rim. That's an interesting touch I haven't seen before
