    I remember people before myself.
Nothing against the newer members, but some of the older ones were so much more fun.
For those that remember the mercury dimes collectors had a lot of fun.

For what it's worth I was here from the beginning as Nickel Triumph with one of the first (if not first) Jefferson Registry sets. A few years ago when I returned a lot had changed...my old log-in code didn't work...something like CYXNCYVZ...it was all dial-up. With the advent of computer technology Nickel Triumph no longer existed so here I am again as CCDollar. I do remember the thread discussions were divided by denominations (i.e. There was the Dollar Forum, The Nickel Forum etc.). Anyhow..take care...

I joined in 1999 before the switch to the "new" format. The change happened 2/24/2001, which is why a bunch of the senility-challenged among us have the same start date.

I was definitely more fun then. :)

Many of us were here in the 1990s before the first version of this board was up. The big migration took place in February, 2001 when we all had to re-register and could pick new user names if we wanted to. Our post counts went back to zero, PCGS stopped supporting the old forum software and we lost the old boards. I don't know when I originally registered, but it was around two decades ago.

I joined this forum on Feb. 24, 2001, when it was initiated. Tom B pointed out that an older forum was around in the 1990s under the banner of "Coin Universe." I was on that one as well. I am guessing starting around 1996. I found out that the sale of the US Central America coins was being sold at a hotel literally across the street from my office from a post on that old forum.

So I had to look it up ...

    I joined June 4, 2003 ...

I read and learned for about 9 months before my 'intro' thread ... and @Bochiman was the first to welcome me!

My first collector thread was on March 31, 2004 and the topic was 'Twenty-cent piece errors.'

I joined the old board back in the 90s. I was there for a few years. We were given a few warnings that we had to move to the new board. I think for a while we could actually post on either board. A lot of alts were lost but many were started here. Some had several in the beginning. Don't think they were tracking IPs much. There was this one guy that would start fights and argue with himself. There were a lot of fun times.

Larry's comment about being given a heads-up that we would have to re-register and then being able to post on both boards for a while is true and it was kind of strange to be able to choose the platform to respond. We had a Hall of Fame troll/alt in scottieo and also had cobb, who must be a legend to all of us who lived through his contributions.
