As the title of the thread states it's a November to remember and I won't forget about it anytime soon!

This addition will most likely be the pinnacle of my collection perhaps not in dollar value but in importance. This is a pop 4 with one higher. I've seen 3 of the 4 9s and I would choose this one above the other two. I actually passed on one about a year ago and kicked myself for weeks after that wondering if I'd see another copy available. The pop 1 10 will probably never leave the hands of its current owner so I this is as good as it will get for me.

Great pickup Kevin. That thing is a beauty.

I just upgraded another card in my 1964 Stand-up set. This one is a tough one. This is the only PSA 8.5 and there are only two PSA 9s, no PSA 10s.

So I have a set of 1956 Topps that I have been working on but when I needed some quick cash for a card I HAD TO have, the most liquid card I had was my Mickey Mantle from the set. It was a really solid looking card and I was very sad to sell it but I just landed a nice replacement:

Won this is auction by 50 cents. Might Slab. Also won a Dimaggio 1938 that I think was dropped in water at some point. Dad's Banks Rookie 54' came back altered. Pissed because it might have been a 9. I also got a 1958 Topps Mantle for 5 bucks in binder at thrift store
. Got this for 21 cents on ebay.

PSA Slabbed Cards and Mantles are the only ones I collect

How are there still Mantle's in binders at thrift stores and why can't I find them?

There was some really nice stuff on auction by PWCC last night. I concentrated on one card from 1957 and put it on layaway.

Nice Koufax - really like the centering on it. PWCC has layaway? How does it work equal payments over time? Do they charge interest or a fee for the service?

It still seems so odd to see him listed at 3B, he'll forever be a SS in my mind.

It's actually paypal that has 0% interest for 6 months if the item is $99 or more and if you make monthly payments on time. They also have a longer term payment plan with interest but those are not for me.

Thanks for the information. Was not aware of the PayPal 0 interest for 6 months deal.

Had this years ago and sold it off to a friend that had to have it for a family member.
Just bought it back as part of the entire collection as the family has decided to sell
    everything and downsize!
Autos of 3 of the Inaugural Class of 1963!
On a first day of issue of Jim Thorpe who was also inducted in the 1st Class!
    Sammy Baugh
    Red Grange
    Bronko Nagurski
Looked up John J. Evangelisti, name on back/original owner, online in the white pages
and it says he is 103 and living in Denver. Very Cool.

Very cool autographed item. As an Illini and Bears fan love that it has both Grange and Nagurski.

beautiful card. I was able to snag one last January for $85 as a package deal which included a Walmart blue PSA 10 for $100. Think I did well on that one! love this gold!

IIRC, this is a very pricey card which I never even realized was big money until recently looking for a Demmitt card to complete my NY Highlanders team set. awesome pickup!
