Did you notice that the price has increased by $100?

I am still amazed these are still selling for $1,000 above the Mint price ungraded.

My one and only coin is still at PCGS waiting for a grade.

I am also surprised several still get sold in the mornings as there were supposedly only about 100 left to hit the maximum mintage early in the week. I can't imagine anyone returning any the last week or so, with that much profit potential. They must still be cancelling HH duplicates or suspected duplicates to get the "extras" to sell.

Tuesday added one to the Bag, couldn't finish checkout 💰
Wednesday during checkout got an error message.
Thursday the coffee had my attention and I missed the window☕.
TGIF, I got one processed and paid for today! :*
This is my first purchase from the US Mint, and I look forward to seeing this coin in ✋

I'll take a PR69 Just like others prefer PR70 but will be happy with PR69 very nice coin and Welcome Mjb24. Nice coin to jump in on.

I had planned on selling when I bought it. Then I couldnt not open it. If it had came back 70 I was telling myself I wanted to trade for 2 gold bullion coins or something like that. It comes back in mail today. I am pretty much leaning on just keeping it now.

The one 2018 palladium that I bought for my set, that looked good to me direct from the Mint, just came back a PR70! B) Joy and happiness for a change.

Congratulations ! So is this for your personal Collection or do you plan to sell it? I think I might ship off some Coins to be graded soon. Never done it before but I need to start.

What are the cost of sending one of these coins in for grading?

  • GoldminersGoldminers Posts: 3,975 ✭✭✭✭✭

That is amazing high, but you never know sometimes till you try. The First Day label is worth more than the coin ;)

For informational purposes, I think Justin has a similar coin going on eBay tonight at $5,499 with a best offer. Which likely translates to roughly a $4,999 off EBay price for this.

Do you think the coin know it's a better PR70 then any other PR70? 1st day, 1st strike, 1st what ever if it's the 1st then there should only be "1" coin with that label, how can one tell if it is or was the 1st coin and there can only be 1- first or am I wrong.

That's just me dumb Type2 thinking.

If the mint saved the first, say 10, of every die pair and certified them as such then inserted them at random into the regular flow of distribution someone, at random, would get it. And know it was actual first strike.

There is an invalid product in your cart. Please correct this error to proceed with checkout.

I think they added this feature just now. Maybe they are reading these boards.

I never saw that on the check out window. I was always able to hit the place order button when the item was in the bag, though not available at any time. The order would always process even if it was not successful. Now it won't let you do that. Anyone with the item in your bag can test it now. The order will not go through the next step of process ordering.

They want you to start over again when the item becomes available.

Back in 2015 , when those Trash Dawgs in Memphis ( 😚) ripped me out of my 2015 BU AGE , they would act almost amused in spinning me in circles, stalling me to burn my time, and throwing their twisted weak logic at me. I once asked for a Superviser and that ethnic lady was so deficient in logical ability she had to have been a product of a ghetto school system. I got the impression that the whole group was in on a concerted effort to rob me and I was just wasting my time at trying to get my refund. In the end I just gave up on the $1,500 piece of Gold. There was nothing I could do about it and that entire group knew it.

Anyway, fast forward to the present forever dangling of Palladium Click Bait. It sounds like a bunch of Ghetto Clowns to tease a bunch of Coin Cats with Pd Eagles on a string. Dangle it in front of them and then quickly yank it away. Those minimun wage people have to resent anyone that can order large chunks of PM's. What better way to torment them than to dangle Eagles on a string for 10 seconds every morning. 🤣😂😅😛🤓☻

Sounds exactly like the pack of ghetto dawgs I know. 😣

Earlier last week, I got the "an unexpected problem occurred" message. I believe this is because my order was fast enough, but it was either because I had already had one coin shipped to that address or because the credit card I used had the same name & billing address as the first card I had used.

So I changed the ship to address, and today I got the "there is an invalid product in your cart". Even before attempting to order, I had a "this item is no longer available" message on my order page.

Has anyone determined that coins can all be shipped to the same address as long as the name and credit card info are consistent with each other and different from all other names and credit card info?

That's exactly what happened to me this morning.

I thought that the page was different from prior days. Until now if the item was unavailable it would still try to process. Today it just said that and nothing happened when I hit the purchase button. Ugh!!

I have no idea why they would add that feature. you still have to use a totally unique account to get a coin so that would essentially just locked people out that haven't gotten one yet it makes no sense to me. I knew something was different though.

Indeed it definitely looks like they changed the game.

the unexpected error is what you got when you tried to check out but it wasn't available but at least it let you try to check out.

I really have no idea why they would change it because the household order limit is still what it is it's just making it harder for Unique accounts to get one.

That's incredible. I don't know how u didn't get stuck like the rest of us w the invalid item thing

Did you have the checkout all set and ready to hit submit orede? That's what I and I assume the others did and got stuck with the invalid item problem. Or did you have it in your cart and right at 7:30 initiate the whole check out process ? I was thinking maybe that's the way around the invalid item thing but I can't imagine this time to do that. Would love to hear how you pulled it off.

I have no idea whatsoever why they would change any of this because the household order limit is still the same it's just making it more difficult for people with unique accounts to get one of these coins.

    Thanks!

Awesome! That's the ticket. I was thinking about this this morning and was planning to try that tomorrow. Had I done so this am would have been no problem. Of course, how could I have known.

This of course assumes that they're up tomorrow which is a huge assumption.

    I meant to ask...

What screen did you have up when you kept refreshing? When the screen us up showing one in the cart it does not show unavailable unless you hover over the cart. Which screen/view did you have up while refreshing such that you could see when it became available?

    Thanks!!

Sorry, had a busy afternoon. Here was the screen for me, except I had the palladium in where it says this item is currently unavailable. I had problems when I entered my information beforehand so I refresh that page and when it shows available I then select my shipping and billing addresses along with CC.

My bag had the new price $1487. I started from the beginning at the product page.Refreshing to get the add to bag button this morning.

Then I proceeded to checkout with the item available filling out the shipping, CC, etc info. I guess I was not fast enough and the item no longer available appeared along with the" invalid product".

That's odd. I only started getting that message after the price changed, although the price always looked right in the bag.

Given invalid item issue I dumped the one in my cart last night.

The instant that it came up today I added one to the cart.

I went to check out as quickly as possible. By the time I got to the order placed I got the invalid item again. This is despite the correct price. Clearly they changed something.

It would seem that the only way to get one now is to do the entire process from an empty cart once it comes up.

Did anyone get one checked out today? I don't know how anyone beat me but some folks did.

This change makes no sense to me at all.

FYI. I left the item in my cart from yesterday.

So, this morning, I refreshed the page but it never came up available on my check out page. If you have it in your bag you may get locked out.

So dumping the coin from your cart is the way to go it seems and start all over again unless someone was successful with the coin still in their bag this morning.

The Mint should just kill this coin and say sold out. Nothing ever said they have to sell exactly 15,000 of these. Current sales are close enough in my opinion, and they should just melt any new returns.

Too much overhead cost and time wasted on selling a couple coins a day, editing website code, or keeping hundreds?, dozens?, of people up at stupid hours like 4:30 AM West Coast.

They should put some more effort in explaining the website rules for HHL that are more detailed than currently posted, and maybe this system will be better next time.
