I am looking to buy several spanish Gold Escudo from the 1700's, possibly the early 1800's. Graded examples in VF20 or higher are preferred PCGS/NGC but raw problem free will certainly be considered as well. I am looking for half escudos, 1 and 2 escudo pieces as I think anything 4 escudo's or higher may be out of my price… -

The ½ Mark, 1 Mark & 5 Reichsmark are often available in quantity for spot or even a little less while the Vereinsthaler coins and 2, 3 & 5 Mark coins usually carry a little premium. Made my first AU58+ Capped Bust and its a POP 1
Here it is: 1834 50c o.102 I cracked this coin out of an NGC AU53 and was extremely surprised when I got the grades back. This coin is currently at CAC. Total luster bomb in hand, zero complaints whatsoever. -

Re: Counterfeit 1818 Bust half - Contemporary or modern?
It looks like a really beat up contemporary counterfeit from the 19th century. Even if it were real, PCGS would not have graded it. It’s been damaged, not worn, which is the requirement for a straight graded Poor-1.
