Re: Received coins from ANACS today - 30 VAMs
Norm, You have too many coins...I'll need to speak to Mrs. NESVT about that!! OBTW too bad the 1888-O hot lips is graded VF20. To quote the July 19, VAM-E Newsletter : "Ash is also looking for the 1888-O VAM 4 "Hot Lips" in PCGS grades VF35, F15, and PO1. He is willing to trade the next grade up for any of these, even… -
Re: AH Cameo pop rose this week by 6 coins!
Don, I just checked my copy of the pop for '64's from 7/19 (I save them to disk about once a month or so), and in the AH's it shows a pop of 35 for the 66CAM, 43 for the 67CAM and 21 for the 68CAM. Current shows 35, 44 and 22. Pop only rose by two between the three grades. I think you were checking the pops while they were… -
Re: If PCGS incorrectly graded a coin TOO HIGH...
I'm with TDN here. I would take the Buffalo or Walker or any true classic coin over any clad. Key and clad don't belong in the same sentence either. I'm sorry but there are billions of Ikes and only a few 19-D Walkers or 26-S buffs or any of the truly rare coins. And look at the designs. There is only one coin uglier than… -
Re: Results from last PSA invoice
Dave-I think I did pretty well on all of the test issue items. I sold the 1967 Red Sox sets and the all the bucks. Kimo- I do have the Pirates stuff left, however I am keeping all of the PSA 9's. If you want to make an offer on the Stargell send me an email to ShaneLeo@aol.com. I sent in 18 or 19 Topps Giants that should… -
Re: Last purchase of 2007?
I believe my last buy was a group of three Morgans from DLRC (all VAMs unattributed). 1889-S VAM-2 NGC 63PL, a VAM I didn't have in prooflike for the date 1896-O VAM-19 NGC 63 -- should easily cross to PCGS, perhaps the finest known 1902-O VAM-31A PCGS 63, nicest one I have found so far Quick! Someone sell me something… -
Re: WINNER ANNOUNCED...GIVEAWAY~1000th Post~Toned 1902-O PCGS MS64 Morgan Dollar
I enjoy coin collecting, because of the history involved. When I see and hold a coin from the 1800's, I can only imagine where the coin has been and who could have used that coin to buy a cup of coffee or something like that. My oldest coin is an 1828half cent. Abraham Lincoln was 19 years old. Think who was alive then. I… -

Re: What's Your Age? Will The Hobby Ever Die Out?
I'm 22, and I too grew up collecting in the early 90's. I loved being able to go the local toys-r-us and buy 1991 proset football for 19 cents a pack. We need more cheap stuff like that. I really don't think that most kids care about pulling that **/99 card. They want alot of nice cards at really really cheap prices. I… -
Re: Anybody have any graded 60-61 topps hockey???
Hello. The tallboys is my all time favourite set. I'm building it in psa-8. Series 1 is near complete with about 6 cards needed. Series 2 i'm working on in psa-7 but i'll add 8's when i find them. Very very tough set. My graded doubles don't usually make it to ebay as I'm always trading with fellow collectors etc. Right… -
Re: How many pop. 1's have you made??
