Re: 45 Day Submission Graded in 2 Weeks!
Keith, Where are the Nolan cards, are you leaving the flock? Those are decent grades for cards that old, I have a couple T206's but they would graded out PSA 2 or PSA 3, and I have 3-4 52 Bowmans that would be in the PSA 5-7 range. Being single minded in my obsession for Nolan Ryan cards, would you think these would be… -
Re: Ryan Set Collector's-What's it worth to you?
goodriddance189, Remember that weight has no meaing in the absence of gravity. Seriously though set weights rarely have a bearing on what the first of something will go for. All I know is that I have to be a little more pratical then I was a year ago. I'll still bet that the first 86 Ryan PSA 10 goes $200+. It will all… -
Re: Your Favorite WS
Growing up being more of an Expos fan and not really caring about anything else, something that sticks in my mind to this day is where I was, what I was doing and how I felt when Gibson hit that homer in game 1 of Denis Eckersley in 1988. I still remember looking at my dad and telling him we just watched history. I can't… -

Re: Crossing BCCG 10's--Any Luck?
It all depends on the card in the holder. I have crossed three BCCG 10's "in the holder" to PSA 10's, but I was very careful about examining the cards. You have to look for corner damage, is it a card that could have come from an uncut sheet, edge fuzz and centering. Always ask for blow-up scans of the card, front and… -
Re: Mirabela thread -- FS Here
You know how the Colorado River is full of water but just about none of it ever reaches the ocean? It has been like that, where the water is the coins and the ocean is the B/S/T. I got online to add some more good stuff last night, but a couple of PM's later it was gone before getting listed. 15% of the purchase price for… -
Re: I spent some time at the coinshop today.
The rift between VG and F in Barbers certainly seems to be where the big price leap occurs, at least in the circulated stuff. I was in the shop of this area's only other dealer the other day, and we were discussing this. He had mentioned wanting to do sets of "high-end VG" Barbers, and not just the halves, either. And this… -
Re: A Kenner Starting Lineup Story
I missed out on getting the 93 Shaq - did get the 94 I think. I did pick up the Hardaway - that was hot at one time...now? It's a push toy for my cat! I didn't collect them until 1992 - picked up some left over ones at the Px around 1991 in rough shape for a buck. Not sure how many I have? Guess? About 100? I do have the… -
Re: Registry set edit question
Pandrews, Edit your set. Find card to delete, click on Delete at far right. Wait a little while and a screen will appear with the selected card asking to delete Yes / No, choose Yes. Wait for program to return you to the main set listing. The deleted card slot is now open, type in new Cert# and click the Continue button.… -
Re: Has Tight Grading Created A Supply Shortage?
I don't buy the premise that today's grading is "tight". It's certainly tighter than, say, 2 years ago. But it isn't what it used to be in 90 - 94 when I consider the grading to be just about right. I am aware of several sharp collectors who are selling coins purchased during this time and receiving grades well above what…
