And how about if the said coin is housed in what is deemed a premium type older slab?
1) Crack it out and resubmit for an upgrade regardless of the holder
2) Leave intact and try and get one of those gold color sticker thingies
3) Leave it alone and do nothing
4) Resubmit it in the holder for an upgrade to avoid any possibility of a bad outcome
5) Crack it out and resubmit unless it's a premium type older holder, then just go for the sticker
6) Crack it out and submit to a different grading service

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Instead, I put such coins aside and get on with my current coin business/activity. Later on (months, maybe years) I may revisit them and decide what to resubmit. I do tend to believe in myself and have resubmitted certain coins and have won.

2. If number 1 fails and you are convinced that the coin is undergraded, try submitting it to the TPG again.
I think probably because everyone now knows most have long since been picked over.

Have to keep watching as some come out of hiding some times. But I just sent two greens and a rattler in for re-holder as the coins where just on grade but the holders were scratched beyond repair.

<< <i>I do nothing. I bought the coin because I liked it - not the slab, not the 'assigned opinion', and not because I want to sell it. I collect coins... Cheers, RickO >>
Excellent response ricko!

<< <i>I hold on to it and enjoy it all the more. There's nothing that attracts more attention than an undergraded (or even conservatively graded) coin. Conversely, there's nothing more unimpressive than a maxed-out or overgraded coin. >>
I don't worry about grades. In 45 years of collecting I have submitted 8 coins to PCGS, just to list on the PCGS Registry (5 of them crossed at grade from NGC in holder).
crack it out.
If I intend to keep the coin, I just enjoy it as it is.
