Can't wait for some retail, but I see myself purchasing another hobby box or two as long as the buyer of my Stras doesn't fabricate some item not as described to get out of the auction.
Which sets are people working on this year? I'm expecting 7 boxes in the a.m. and I'm only keeping the 1/1's, the Heywards, and the autos. Everything else will be up for trade/sale. Assume several people will be working on base mini and black border minis again. I'll try to get my autos need list and my for trade list up by end of weekend.

If you want it badly enough, email the seller and see if he'll broker a deal for you with the guy who bought it before he ships it off. Have to imagine most people are fine taking a quick profit and letting it go.

Think I might have to wait till the stars align before ripping this one since I don't really want a Wakefield ext mini
Looking at picking up a box or two of the hobby edition off of eBay. What should I watch out for so I am not getting lame boxes? I see some dealers listing I have 4 boxes for sale (but they are each from a different case). Are these dealers somehow hitting a hot box or two out of a case and selling off what they figure to be lame boxes?

I still have some minis & GU from previous years that I don't really want. I would be willing to trade these for base cards and SPs from the 2010 set or possibly even from other years as well. I'd love to unload them all one place if someone has a bunch of base cards they want to get rid of, but I am willing to split them up as much as necessary. Here is what I have:

i am working on getting a list of available cards. I dont think I am going to do much as far as sets go this year. I am looking for a Tony Hawk auto for my son. I would pretty much trade anything I have for that. I have tons of 2007-2009 AG too.

In the past I would say someone could pull the rip card or a bulk of the autos out of a case and sell the rest, but collation has been all over the place. Best bet is to buy out of a fresh case at the hobby store, if you have to order on line I wouldn't worry much about searching.

No. If you submit the card to PSA inside the frame, they will grade it and slab it in the frame. The red autographs come both inside and outside frames, so they can be submitted either way. I'm pretty sure the autos that come inside rip cards are always red autos. But, if the auto is a blue auto, it should probably stay inside the frame since removing the frame would be changing the way the card was produced.
So, I said I was done with A&G. And I am. But, you know how it is, there's always that urge to buy a couple packs of curiosity, to see if you're actually missing anything.
I don't like this year's design.
But, the four packs I bought at the shop today have left me with a dilemma... see below...
So, waddya think? Rip? Don't rip? eBay? Trade for some hot Nolan Ryan goodies??
Does anyone know when retail is going to be released? Will there be anything special in the Target or Walmart packs (like Heritage with the Maris & Mantle cards)?
Alright, my g/f said the same thing... so, without further ado...
Not bad, I guess. Tex's #356 mini seems to go for $35-$48 on eBay. Given that an unripped ripper goes for about $60ish, I didn't exactly get killed... especially considering it came out of 1 of 4 packs.
I'm going to put it and the "sore backdoor" McLouth on eBay at the end of the week, unless anyone has any neato Ichiro or Nolan Ryan goodies to trade for it.
Schimpf has a nice swing, but can't seem to connect with anything when we see him play... he went 0-for-5 tonight. Ochinko was out of the lineup, but when we see him play, he always seems to get at least one hit. He has a better eye than Ahrens, who the Luggies have put in often recently.
It's too bad nobody is tearing it up here like Travis Snider did a couple years ago. He was a beast in A ball!
I don' t think $100+ is a ridiculous price for a silk Utley. I see the same guys bidding on all the silks regardless of player and I've always wondered how freakin expensive and impossible it must be to try to complete an all-silk set. But I think some guys must be trying.
cracked through a few boxes so far. i think i'm going to try to put together the sailors and animals minis subsets. have a bunch of minis to trade - will list them later.
