<< <i>Thanks for organizing this rip David. I got some decnet cards, but a lot of junk too. I guess the thing that keeps up going is the chance that we will pull a card like the Henderson in great condition. It happened to one of us and I am happy for Jeff. Anyone want to organize a 77 rip? Or, for people that want to rip some real cheap wax, 1981. >>
I am up for a cheap wax bust. I have not participated in a group break yet. I am trying to save $ for the National and the 07 Heritage kicked a dent in my hobby budget.

Thanks Brotha.
I thought someone had posted the lower pop and/or tougher commons for the set....any idea which ones I should look for to submit? Yes, I'm too lazy to look up the pop on these!

I have two boxes from this rip but won't dare open them until I am settled with Heritage. I know Barkus has 3 boxes and has not been heard from. So, that is a decent chunk of the case still unopened or not reported on
I have a box socked away for now. I may bust it open but right now I'm remodeling the old kitchen and my "card area" is inaccessible.

Again big thanks for anybody that can help me out a little. I have quite a few nice extras, so anybody else building raw sets or whatever shoot me PM and i can most likely help you at as well.
Is anyone interested in selling their 1980 commons? I would like to try and build a raw set. Please let me know via PM or e-mail at pinball@infoave.net.
ArnyVee, may I ask what type of scanner you are using? I'm in the market. Thanks.

i thought i posted this earlier, but don't see it???
nice job on psa 9, it's guaranteed $140 +/-, psa had psa 9's up to $225 earlier this year, but don't know where they are now.
don't know statistical probability of having pulled a psa 9, but it is close to slim & none based on overall results and ignoring raw # of cards and people that opened them.
Yeah, I couldn't be happier with that Ripken. I bought that card when I was 11 years old back in 1987 at a local card show, for $9.00. It's been the pride of my Ripken card collection, I just can't believe it got a 9! If it would have come back anything less than a 9 I would have sold it and bought a 9 on ebay, but I'm ecstatic that I can add this one to my Set Registry!
I remember thinking that one Henderson you pulled had a real shot at a 10. I would have guessed one would have been a strong 9 and the other a weak 9. You should have no problem getting at least $150 for it on Ebay.
$157.53 and $45.87. I was hoping for more on the 9, but that's what I get for having an auction end on a Saturday afternoon.
I don't understand PSA... the PSA 9 actually had spots on the gloss on the front of the card, and the 8 was what I would have considered the PSA 10. Who freaking knows with them anymore... I bet if it was any other card from the set, they both would have been 10s.
jeff, i've had a difficult time distinguishing 9s from 10s on some of my latest submissions. i can actually see flaws on some of the 10s whereas some 9s look flawless. maybe they were dinged going into the slabbing process. who knows.
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)

I always try to give PSA the benefit of the doubt, but I call BS on that one too... there's no way they treat a 1980 Topps Henderson like they do a 1980 Topps Dick Drago...
