Hello!
For some unknown reason, FEDEX ground does not deliver on Monday! Therefore, I would assume a bunch of the 80's boxes should be delivered today.

1- well centered packs
2- lots of commons (lots of low pop commons only hardcore 80's set collector could appreciate)
3- too many yaz cards (was this dp also?)
4- no henderson!!! (hopefully somebody will have multiple hendersons, since 2 boxes have yielded nothing)

Thanks for sharing the scans. They look like sharp cards. Are you gonna get the commons graded?

Based on the numbers, and assuming perfect collation - which we obviously can't do, we should expect 13-14 Hendersons in this case.

naw, i busted a rack pack case 2 years ago and got very little psa 10 action.

the lopes, garvey and winfields are the first non-fish eye cards i've pulled from 80 topps, so that was MY trifecta baby!

IMHO, unless its: ryan, fred stanely error variation, or henderson, I would NOT submit any cards for grading. unless of course, this is for non-selling purposes, then grade away.

nice cards julen...how many yaz's did you actually pull? just the 2? no henderson's yet...wow. i'm anxiously waiting for my box to arrive.

not really, very surprised at how nicely centered the majority of the cardboard was.

like zef, however, relatively few HOF cards. i had several entire packs that were nothing but commons, some low pop commons, but commons the same.

this was the first box i've ripped that didn't yield a henderson rc, i did a massive 80 topps sub last year and got like 7 henderson's graded.

i really like blue backs, really beautiful cards IMHO.

Let's start ripping! I just got my 18 packs off my front step and unboxed them. The bubble wrap has been removed and I am digging in! Updates to follow!

The first two packs yield only an OC Winfield. Some corner and edged issues.

Packs 3 and 4 yielded a Garvey that is okay. I got an Otto Velez card that appears chewed on! I think this might be the other half of Zef's box.

Yikes, I just pulled a back of pack Yaz that is ripped, stained and creased! The worst card I have ever pulled from wax. The person with me stated "looks like that card has been through a war!" Also got an OC Reggie and Pops.

I opened the last 9 packs and more of the same. Got a Brett, Carew, another Yaz, Lynn, and Carlton. None gradeable.

It was fun ripping 27 year old wax though. Better luck to you guys! I must have had the other half of Zef's box and should have took his suggestion to look at the condition of the first couple of packs and if they were poor conditioned cards not to open the rest.

Like I have that much willpower! I would la awake at night wondering if the PSA 10 Henderson was lurking in the unopened packs.

Hopefully, Steve gets a case of 77's. That would be fun.

Got my cards today! Live in Nebraska. Opened the box and most are off center and some did have dings on one corner. Stars with best chance of 9 were Murray, Yount, and Ozzie. Got a Henderson, probably is too off center to grade more than 8. Will post a few scans shortly.

Bad news is no Henderson. But the good news is someone is going to have a couple in their box. I had 5 of a couple cards in my box.

i received 1 1/2 boxes. i'm opening the loose packs first. 4 packs into the rip and the biggest star is lance parrish. centering appears to be good and solid 9s on several commons.

I had one full box. Overall, I was very satisfied with the condition of the cards. Pulled almost every star except for Schmidt, Brett, and Ozzie. Pulled 1 Rickey, probably an 8. I pulled 2 Reggies, but both were OC. Here are some scans:

Those look like some great Hendersons. Hopefully the corners are sharp. There seems to be a decent amount of centered stars. There were quite a few OC stars in my box. Just luck of the draw.
