Since I ain't so loquacious with my verbiage as the others, I'll get straight to the finds.



Equipment: Whites IDXpro with 9.5 inch coil, big shovel, pinpointer, full battle suit for site #2(ticks....Year round in these parts), and my lucky hat(see picture in first post).

Site #1: Super secret pointy rock site. Not much metal here other than bullets. Full coinshooter mode.

Target 133:Spiffy469- King George facing left half penny. Mid 1700s. From this spot I picked up anything I could see, without moving, that wasn't metal. 2 Native American scrapers, 3 pottery pieces, and a glass bead.


Site #2: Woods in my back yard. Seabrook, NH. Relic mode. Lots of trash, but I've been out there enough times to know where to avoid.

Target 134: walkerminus1- Flat button with intact shank.


Target 135: Dockwalliper- Old costume jewelry.


Target 136: laserart- A silver ring with fire opal and small finger adapter.


Target 137: SpecialK- A Ferrari


Site #3: Back to the Mill site in Amesbury Mass.
I gave up trying to take field pictures. Good thing I didn't drag my camera along. As soon as I got to the site it started raining. Within a half hour it turned to freezing rain.

Target 138: DesertRat- ??? It was deep and has some weight for a pea sized chunk of metal. What you see is exactly how it came out of the ground. Gold nugget from space?(see main picture for size)


Target 139: loditom- A glass button. My first, and a complete, unbroken piece is high on my find list.


Target 140: Riccar- 2 Barber dimes from the same hole. 1896 and 1892. The 96 is sweet in hand. Gold tone AU details.


Target 141: dan8402- A key hole to a pirates treasure chest...................minus the chest


Target 142: marym- 1907 Barber dime. I want to see a group shot of all your VTH3 finds.


Site #4 Super secret cellar hole site. This was at the end of January and the ground was frozen. Many targets left that I can't dig until the thaw.

Target 143: Omega- A Civil War era artillery button. My first letter.


Target 144: Bochiman- Buckle found a couple feet from the button.

First VTH I've been in and an awsome one at that. VERY nice, Thank you to all the diggers and everyone who participated for an AMAZING VTH.

I'm seriously at a loss for words to tell you guys how much fun this has been for me. I can't believe the incredible luck I've had getting slots in EVERY round, and gawdddddd the targets have been AMAZING!!! Of course, it goes without saying that without our dedicated diggers, who seem to be at one with their detectors, deserve 100% of the credit for the success of this VTH. Bravo Gentlemen!!

Thanks guys! It was fun once again.

Tonight was a planned night out for dinner with my staff. Wanna guess what I had for dessert?

Moosetracks ice cream with those good and yummy peanut butter candy in it.
