Bug, you and I must have stirred up someone at PSA...my grades hit today also.....here is my submission from 11/15. Overall I'm real happy. The mini's are from the 75 case break that went on a few months back.....much as I thought with a lot of OC cards...I was real happy with the 72 topps cards and I must have the touch on most of the basketball...must have missed some creases on the two 5's.....

Arny - They gotta notice your sub has been pushed way out. So, in the spirit of getting Arny's sub done I'm sending this note to psa:

    "Dear PSA:
Our buddy Arny has waited a loooooong time for his grades. Since it's Friday, why not finish it and start next week fresh, knowing one of psa's faithful submitters imageimageimageimageimage - you get the idea."

    Think it will work?

Al - congrats on the grades. I like your 72 Rose psa 8/9 'combo'!

ArnyVee, have you ever seen the 1986 Donruss Registry? the Finest Possible Set Rating is only 2.34 even though there are 660 cards....to compare , the 1988 score set even has a finest possible set rating of 9.42 with also 660 cards....my question is WHY is the 1986 Donruss rating at 2.34 when most sets are around 8.00...the 1986 Donruss Set certainly has equal collectability to the rest of the 1980's sets, so why the 2.34? Thanks

What happened??? I was high bidder on that PSA 10 Jack Fimple card and received an e-mail just a minute ago saying my bid had been cancelled. The auction has ended?? Great!!image

Just had my bid on the Rudy Law card cancelled!!
  • Options
Same thing happened with me on the Dave Stewart PSA 10 card (#280061110790) and I'm sending them a note to see what "error" in the listing prompted to cancel the bids. We'll see what the response is.

They wouldn't pull the auctions because the dollar figures were too low, would they? image

The auctions were ending tonight, not over yet. Wonder if he got an offer he could not refuse?? Arny, I see you still have high bid on that Anderson card.

Hi guys, I had a bunch of bids canceled also.....if the guy was scared off by the low dollars he was seeing that was kind of stupid....just about everyone of the cards had multiple folks bidding on them......I've won items in the past from the same person with no problems...I agree that someone must have made an offer to him he couldn't refuse....although my understanding is that is against ebay policies....

Is the seller on these psa_registry_gems?

I'm not bidding on any of the 84 Donruss, but I was looking at some other of his auctions... not going to place a bid if that's how he works.
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...

Steel was done on cards done in the Wax and Rack packs. Steele is correct version and was placed in factory sets.

Matt, you are correct. The bottom right on the reverse of the card is where the designation of either STEEL or STEELE exists.

Kirk, I didn't get the Dawson or Anderson 10s as I was just outbid. I guess I'll just keep my eyes open for some others later. By the way, I haven't received a response as to why those other auctions were pulled.

Hi Arny, happy holidays. If my calculations are correct I need 14 of the cards from the submission for my set....some of them are upgrades to existing cards. It was amazing in that the cards came from a set I had gone through before but I went back thru a second time and pulled the cards out...I just missed them the first time thru....al.

Man, '84 DOnruss Rules the Multiverse!! Why didn't we buy more of these as a kid. Too busy watching transformers or robotech I guess. Anyway--Your graded '84's are awesome--Maybe I should corner the market on those!!

I agree with you Arny....since I started this set it's been my number one priority to finish....some may think its foolish to complete an 80's set but I think this is one that is an awesome one to view....especially in 9's and 10'simage

Not only do the cards look great however for an 80s issue these cards were issued in much lesser volume as other cards of the 80s.

Hey guys, I have a 84 Donruss rack pack that I have not opened yet. I was wondering if there was anything worth while to send in to grade, if I could have someone who belongs to the club send them it with some of theirs?? Of course I would pay for grading and shipping cost back to me?? I am planning on ripping soon, though I do not have a scanner at home to show you anything.
