    Sorry Mud
Thanx Kevin - I get it! I just checked all the chromes I have and none are numbered #65 of 1956 - someone out there must have one?

    << <i>Jeez I can't believe how boring I just made baseball cards sound. >>

    No Mud
That's actually the cool part! I like looking at that kind of stuff. I have read all the cartoons and have noticed which ones are the same and which ones have different cartoons for the SP vs. the common etc.

Keep'm comin! Someone out there will have the answer. It was my bad - the sheet had to have been printed with all the same numbers of 1956 together - in fact, I would guess they printed a second run just in case someone sends one in for replacement?

    Mike-

They probably didn't print a second run, but I would think that they just held back 50 or so chromes from packs to cover replacements and NPNs. We shall see - I should get my replacements back in a few days, and I have the serial numbers from the cards I sent in. If the numbers come back the same, I would bet that they printed a certain number of blank backed chromes, and stamp the numbers as they are replaced (after they destroy the damaged card).

Who am I kidding, there wont be much destroying happening.

I was shopping with my girlfriend last night at Kmart, when she wouldn't spend 13.00 on a pillow. As we were leaving, I saw 2 blaster boxes of Heritage. Course I bought them, and we sat in the car and opened one box. She was amazed these cards were so expensive, but was ecstatic when she pulled the tejada bat card, a piazza refractor, and a chrome! Now she is addicted too! Wait til i show her a rack case of 86 topps!..

Finally got my first ink today out of a opened box with 7 packs left in it at Target. Anyone have any clue what I could get for a Monte Irvin blue auto? I cant seem to find any one ebay. I guess I might try and get rid of it to get the last 8 cards I need, if its even worth 7 SP's and 1 NAP that is image.

    Orion-

Nice to finally pull one! I wish I had more of what you needed, but the only dupe I have from your list is the NAP 5. I think I have most of the cards you need in my own set, but I really don't like trading from that. If you want, shoot me a PM with an offer of what cards you would take in return for the Irvin.

Here's my incomplete tradelist- should get some SP dupes back from Topps in a few days. All the cards I'm listing are in hand. Looking to trade for SPs, GU, chromes and refs I need from any year, but always on the lookout for those elusive black refractors or an auto.

    DUPES:

    82 Torii Hunter Old Uni
    312 Lance Berkman Fielding
    404 Alexis Rios
    425 Gabe Gross
    427 Ty Wigginton
    433 Mike Matheny
    441 Roy Halladay
    449 Ryan Webb
    450 Jose Valentin
    451 Jake Westbrook
    453 Alex Gonzalez
    456 Sean Marshall
    457 Erubiel Durazo
    462 Moises Alou
    469 Todd Walker
    472 Mark Kotsay
    473 Javier Vazquez
    474 Mike Cameron

    F-EB Ernie Banks
    F-SM Stan Musial (3)
    NAP 5 Vladimir Guerrero
    NAP 6 Jim Thome
    NAP 9 Ivan Rodriguez
    TN 3 Roberts/Hernandez

    THC 62 Nomar Garciaparra /1956
    THC 74 Ian Kinsler /1956
    THC 95 Melky Cabrera /1956

    NEEDS:

20 Jim Edmonds (Doesn't everybody need this card?)
    118 Magglio Ordonez Old Uni
    130 Andruw Jones
    296 Johan Santana Old Uni

    Hey Mudflap
I have purchased as many (around 15) of the Target/Kmart blaster boxes as I could find and have some SP's you need. I found these to be a good shot at getting auto's also, I have pulled two a Fans Favorite of Steve Garvey and a 1956 reprint of Chuck Diering(not for trade). I am interested in trading what I need from your list. I have the following for you:

    old logo #82 Hunter
    417 Stairs
    419 Johnson
    444 Kennedy
    467 Gonzalez
    118 old logo Ordonez
I also have dupes of the following Chromes if you are interested in these
    THC 60 Reyes
    THC 55 Beltran
    THC 8 Anderson

I need from your list the following
    312 Berkman fielding
    404
    427
    433
    449
    453
    456
    457
    462
    469
    474

If you are interested in trading just send me an email at nflhof@yahoo.com.

I know I am new so I would be happy to send to you first.

    Captain Crunch Eggplant-

I can use the Musial seat (if it's for trade), and the chromes and SPs - turn on your private messaging (in your profile "enable private messaging") and the fun will commence.

Ok i have to admit , all this Heritage talk has hooked me in.

I tried putting together the 01 Heritage set years ago but ended up selling it off about 3/4 's of the way through . I've been reading through everyones posts the last couple nights and i've got the fever back . The 05 Heritage looks like a nice set from what i've seen on ebay.

If anyone here has any doubles left lol that they wouldn't mine getting rid of ( not freebies of course ) either reply here or shoot me a pm. At this point i have not 1 card so i can use anything, although i think i'll start slow so no auto's or anything like that at this point please

    Thanks, Dave

    Dave -

Go grab a couple boxes before you try to start trading. I've done more than enough of both, and I can tell you which is more fun to open in the front seat of your car between a padded envelope and a blaster box. There should be plenty of stuff to trade, but go have some fun first!

Some new SPs to trade myself that weren't on my list above, since it's damn fun to be a 24 year old man in a Toys R Us buying baseball cards.

After purchasing approximately 160 packs of Heritage , I finnally pulled a Blue Ink Auto of Boston Red Sox Pitcher Johnny Schmitz ! Very nice , clear auto ! Bought 10 packs last week at Target , out of a 24 pack box , and the auto was in the last pack I ripped open ! I was surprised , because I was peeking at the middle of the pack , and could see that there was a checklist card , and I thought , crap , another worthlist checklist , but lo and behold , the auto was right before the checklist card ! Also pulled a Luis Aparicio Stadium Seat Card and a couple of Chromes ( Bagwell and Blalock - #1956 ) along with about 7 SP'S .............So I guess there's still auto's out there to be pulled !.......................Robbieimage

Just returned from a long day out with the family. Stopped in 2 different Targets which neither sold Heritage.

Took a trip to the local Toys R Us and was dissapointed when i didn't see any retail boxes there either. There was a section just left of the boxes where they sold single packs that are encased in the hard plastic.

Picked up 5 packs at $ 2.99 a pop . Ripped them open just a couple minutes ago and i couldn't have asked for better results

2nd pack of the bunch Bob Feller Auto in blue ink # RO-BF !! ( not sure if the blue ink is significant but i read that someone mentioned blue ink in a prior post )

    3rd pack i pulled a Stan Musial Authentic Stadium Seat # FR-SM

Last pack Ian Kinsler ( who ? ) Chrome 504/556

If there was any doubt about me being hooked there is none now lol

Is there a way i can find out which #'s are the sp's ?

    thanks in advance , Dave

You are a lucky guy! I have opened a ton of packs this year and no autos!
    Congratulations!

I think I have contacted everyone I can remember and have done trades - I have to apologize - I accidentally dumped my entire PM file and don't remember everyone I had communication...so here is my final want list:

    chromes: 33 46 89 109

    SP's: 78 440 444

Not bad for a set of this magnitude - also, if anybody has any flashback relic stadium seats - I am still looking for , Score, Aparicio and - I have for trade Larsen.

    Hey Mike,

Is a tough set indeed unless you spend boat loads of cash and then you are still scrambling for many SP's. I went in with my eyes wide open, over spent a touch but I am just 1 SP away from the entire master set including lightbacks. Plus I nedd just 3 flashback relic cards to complete that sub set also. Nice pull in your first 5 packs! I'm in the same boat as Mike (Stone193) and have yet to pull one. I picked up a couple more retail boxes today, and nothing really amazing of note - a Pujols Blue hat and an extra Snider seat. Mike - if you need the Snider I could trade one for one for one of your dupes.

Out to the car, extras will be posted shortly. KOBE, looks like Mike has first shot at the Feller, but I'd be very interested as well if you want to tarde a little something something.

Every so often someone needs a copy of the Heritage checklist. I published a copy on my web space.

Ignore the numbers in the card type column. I used to use this for inventory, then built a simple Access database instead.

Has anyone had any experience in sending back Chromes or Chrome Refractors to Topps for replacement this year? I have a handful that are really off-center...I mean like 80/20 or 80/15. I thought I saw an earlier post where they keep extras and stamp the back as needed. Just wanted to check before I sent mine in.

    Thanks,

    Todd

    Nice little pickup tonight

Can't beat that - it was listed for 10 minutes before I hit the BIN - I'm thinking it may have been a mistake by the seller?

    Jeff,

I would think that's a mistake. A $19.99 box for that buy it now? Makes no sense.

I haven't come up with my trade list for you list, hope you have some patience. I'll get with you soon.

Is it just me or do the bottom corners of that box look pretty damaged? And aren't the cards on the bottom in those boxes?

All of the blasters I've opened have been sandwiched between two chunks of styrafoam. You're right though, that box looks pretty jacked up.
