I would be willing to bet that I have spent probably 3000 dollars over the course of 5 heritage sets. I can honestly say, as a collector
of mostly rookie cards, that heritage is one of the safest sets to do every year. You can always sell/trade your extras, and they only
get more valuable as the years go on as more people look to get all the sets.

From a personal standpoint, it has been REALLY nice to see the heritage craze blossom here. I think back to 2001..there were maybe
3 of us here...Craig, Ken and I, who collected that set! I remember buying a Willie Mays Autograph from Craig back in 2001 and didn't
see him again until this year! I was able to return the favor and sell him some cards that put him very close to the very popular
2003 set. More jumped on board last year for 2004. It was retail craziness, as each retail pack had multiple sp's in it. There were
retail boxes for 29.99 that gave you over 100 dollars in book everytime! Those were fun times, and many of us took advantage. Of course
that was also the year of the roller marks and dinged cards, something topps sort of corrected this year.

2005 was an explosion here. I can't count how many collectors jumped the heritage ship this year. Topps delivered a nice set with some
surprises (white backs, checklist variations), that had many of us vets scratching our heads. It has been great to help guys out and
complete sets. So many of us just a few cards short...those sets will come soon!

I only hope that 2006 heritage gets 800 posts next year! Its been a good year. Thanks to all!

    Very well put Kevin

I look forward to next year also and the trading season.

It's been a pleasure - tho I am 3 chromes short! I will get them somewhere.

I will be spending some time putting this set in sheets - like Kevin, I think, I made an error that had me shifting cards for an hour!!

If anyone needs help with this year or last, please PM me.

Kevin, when I finish this set, I will be looking back at last year and see what's up the chromes. Still did not finish it.

I did this not once, but twice...furious with myself.

But they are all set now...and awaiting their proper home in the roop binder (can't wait!).

no doubt in my mind that 2006 will be huge, bigger than this year. You never know, as more people discover this thread, it could top 900. Next year, because the '57 set is so popular (best set ever, with '53 Bowman Color right behind it), the Heritage market will explode. I may (hoping the wife doesn't catch wind of this) spring for 2 cases, but I'm gonna have to save aluminum like crazy!

Thanks to all who have helped with my set: Jeff (mudflap02), Mike (Stone193), Kevin (joestalin), Mark (Peetie), Mark (gosteelers), John (Basilone), Morrie (UnAmuzd1), Shannon (shambo2000)

Still holding out hope for these:

    Clubhouse Collection Relics
AK (Kaline) AP (Pujols) GS (Sheffield) RS (Schoendienst)

    Flashback Seat Relics
    AK (Kaline) DL (Larsen)

    Chrome

    Mistake Made

I was organizing my set to go into a binder and I made a mistake - I had a small pile of SP's to upgrade and accidentally gave or traded them away!

    Needed: 261, 273, 286 and 296

    I'm an idiot!

Just wanted to thank Mark (Peetie) for sending me one of the three SP's I need to complete this set. Only two more to go now, #130 andrew jones and #135 Arod batting.

Mark sent the card without my knowledge, a complete surprise. He's one of a handful of guys on this board who I couldn't have financially completed this set without. It's been a pleasure hanging out on these boards and getting to know all of you a little better.

Thanks again Mark!!! Two more to go!!

    Hi Guys,
Following JoeStalin's advice, I decided to post here on the official Heritage thread. I'm hoping that maybe I can help out a fellow collector here on the message boards, as well as myself. I'm in the process of streamlining my collection, ie jumping on the vintage bandwagon finally, and I would like my Topps Heritage sets to find a new home, hopefully to one of the many Heritage collector's here on the board. I have the complete run of Topps Heritage base sets, 2001-2005, with all Sp's, variants, and all insert sets, Then & Now, Classic Renditions, and New Age Performers (as well as the 04 double header set). I'd like a cash offer if possible, so I can buy some 56 Topps cards, or a really good trade offer. Again, I do know this belongs on the trade board, and I have posted there, I was just hoping a few more eyes would see it here on the Heritage thread. Thanks for your time and please feel free to email me at StarWarsFan2003@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thanks

Finally hit a decent money card from heritage. I went to target today to get some mailing supplies for work, saw a half opened box still sitting there. I had decided a few weeks ago to not buy anymore since I am only a few cards short of the master set but...lol...they were there so I bought them. 13 packs, down to my last 2, had pulled none of the last 5-6 cards I need and figured I was just gonna have some more trade bait. 2nd to last pack I got this..image
Not the most valueable card ever but I am excited about it non the less.

PS. I'll put up all my extra SP's I have to trade in a little bit.

    AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

I finally got the last SP I needed to finish up my 2001 Topps Heritage set, and as I always do, I went through the entire set to make sure all cards were there. Yup, you guessed it, a gremlin has made off with one of my cards. There's a gap where #198 Dan Moylan should be. So, here's a call to my Heritage buddies - do you happen to have an extra #198 laying around. There are a bunch available on Buckett, but I'd prefer to deal with someone here if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey guys,
I recently bought an 8 pack box of 2005 Heritage and got an Ichiro Chrome, an Ichiro Then & Now, and a base card of Ichiro. Has anyone else noticed this about this year's Heritage (getting the same player multiple times) or was this completely random?

I had a mini-Ichiro run of my own yesterday. The local Target had some loose packs; I knew I wouldn't pull an GUed, but you never know if an auto might pop forth. Anyway, pulled an Ichiro refractor, NAP and a base. Kinda wish I still had the Ichiro black refractor I pulled from my case.
