Discussion about forum avatars

I'm mildly curious about how many people whose avatars are coins, still own those coins.

I use my avatar across multiple platforms but no longer own the coin. I also own a coin that was purchased from a forum member who still uses that coin for his avatar (which we discussed and it's perfectly fine by me).

I thought of this when I noticed that @SkyMan and @mach19 use the same avatar. Did that used to be a stock photo avatar option?

A coin? Does it have to be an actual coin?

My Avatar is not a coin I own (however the 1950 Cameo Proof Franklin is my favorite Proof Franklin; and I own a 1950 PF65CAM half that looks similar to the coin in my Avatar photo).

I've had mine for years, I thought it was a nebula, but Google tells me it's just gas around a star, (taken by the Hubble some time ago)

I've Always been fascinated by space 🚀...but started out with my Saint, but at that time, a ton of avatars had common date Saints.

I own the coin seen in the design of my avatar. The design I used to make a magnet and that sold recently.

Since this has diverged somewhat from the OP 'coin avatar', then I will say yes still own the current avatar and for decades now. Still producing great sounds and then all those years, years, and years of enjoyment. :)
