Discussion about forum avatars

I'm mildly curious about how many people whose avatars are coins, still own those coins.
I use my avatar across multiple platforms but no longer own the coin. I also own a coin that was purchased from a forum member who still uses that coin for his avatar (which we discussed and it's perfectly fine by me).
I thought of this when I noticed that @SkyMan and @mach19 use the same avatar. Did that used to be a stock photo avatar option?

I own mine. 1878 proof only issue. I think it’s pretty distinctive (colors, contrast) as an avatar.
Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.
Mine isn't a coin, but I do still own it.
Sadly mine has passed away. She is greatly missed.
I own mine. I loaded the image onto the website. I'm honored and happy that @mach19 thinks it's pretty enough that he wants to use it. Here is the coin imaged by a couple of different people...
U.S. Type Set
The 3 legger on my avatar is long gone but I do have 5 others at this time. It’s like a rotating door with them for me.
Silverman68, jfoot13, GAB, ricman, Smittys, scrapman1077, RyGuy, Connecticoin, Meltdown, VikingDude, Peaceman, Patches and more.
My avatar, still own it.
A coin? Does it have to be an actual coin?
Thank you @SkyMan , that is a lovely Franklin.
Yep, sorry, off to forum jail you go. Luckily you'll have @MFeld as a cellmate 😉

Great Thread.
Well, my Avatar has been discussed many times in the past. As well as, my story too.
So, if I please may...
My Avatar is a Morgan Dollar, engraved by my father when I was born. Our names and birthdays. Also for my four siblings after me!
Dad, would self-engrave each of our Dollar coins, (Morgan or Peace) when we were born.
Mine, a 1921s Morgan. I'm the oldest so he did mine first, naturally.
So, before my father had passed. He end up engraving 5 total Dollars.
My sister, Gina, had gone to Heaven, when she was only 2, back in 1966. when my brother, Jeff, was born.
Which unfortunately, he has passed too. Age 35. His Dollar is a Peace Dollar.
Anyway, sorry. So that leaves us with 5 of my Dad's Dollars. In which we still have. I have 3, (mine, Gina's and Jeff's) other two are with John and Jennifer.
So, I was thinking...
How bout I send them to PCGS, to maybe have them encased?
Well, I wrote a letter to our host, along with the three Dollars I possessed. Explaining the situation that I explained to you guys. Then I also asked if I may request for each of the Dollars to be titled,
"Dad's Dollar"?
Well, PCGS had obliged to my strange request!
So to answer your question about my Avatar. Yes, this is how mine came to be so.
I'm forever grateful to Dad!
And how he cared for us kids!
Thanks Dad.
Thanks for giving us
Dad's Dollars
My brother, John and other sis, Jennifer, still has theirs. Maybe later, to add to the other three I have in the case?
Thank You guys.
Note:My sister, Gina, has the only variety of the bunch!
The 8 Tail Feathers.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.1734 Crown from the reign of George II- I purchased raw and submitted to our host in 2007. I suspect it is a Phil Arnold photo, I still own the coin and have used it as my avatar for years as it replaced a martini glass... one of the avatars
available to choose from back in the day. The obverse and reverse are featured below:

My Avatar is not a coin I own (however the 1950 Cameo Proof Franklin is my favorite Proof Franklin; and I own a 1950 PF65CAM half that looks similar to the coin in my Avatar photo).
I still own my avatar, a 1793 Chain Cent, S-4.
I drank my avatar.
Mine has a bit of a collecting tie, although it's not a coin. I flew on two of El Al's 747-400s twice each, on trips in 2000 and 2001. My avatar came from a photo of 4X-ELB (the full photo can be seen here: https://www.airliners.net/photo/El-Al-Israel-Airlines/Boeing-747-458/186450/L), which I flew in the 2nd and 3rd flights. Flights 1 and 4 were on 4X-ELA, which also became the first 747-400 I ever flew on. In my airplane model collection, I have a model of 4X-ELA, and after the airplane was retired and scrapped a few years ago, some of the airplane skin was cut into tags for collectors. I have three of those tags alongside my model. Above my 4X-ELA model is United N121UA, which is the only other 747-400 I've flown on (I went to Seoul in 2017 to fly United's final scheduled 747 flight, from Seoul to San Francisco). Anyone want to guess what my favorite airplane is?

Mine is one of the few coins I still own.
I grabbed the image from the internet. I'm waiting for prices to come down closer to spot before I think of buying one. How can I not use the Batman coin!
I still have mine. It was an 'ender' found in a Loomis box of half dollars from my bank.

My avatar is the Friday Patch from my favorite assignment during my 24 years in the Air Force, The 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Soesterberg Air Base The Netherlands.

"The patch for the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron at Soesterberg Air Base was designed by Disney Studios during World War II and featured a royal crest, symbolizing the unique relationship between the U.S. Air Force and the Royal Netherlands Air Force. This patch became a notable emblem for the squadron, which operated at the base from 1954 until its deactivation in 1994."

Here are some the evolutions of the patch through the years.

I still have mine. Haven't bought a coin since eBay started collecting sales tax. At my age no point in dumping money into coins. If I can control my destiny I'll give whatever I have left to my daughter. Way back when Teletrade did a decent job on the neon colors.
I still own this coin. PCGS Proof 68 CAC
I own mine, NGC PR67 FS-402.
