I'm kinda surprised, but I guess it was the dual-date and privy.

I got mine this year - order 2498xxxx.
That was a little surprising. However, I'm wondering if the mint is going to pull off one of their famous restocks after initial sellout. I've seen them do that before, where they offer another 1,000 coins that end up languishing for awhile but we'll see.
Wow! Wasn't paying attention to this one today. Saw a post on another site showing ATS hit zero at 12:08:06 so this was only a hair longer than the EU Gold Eagle earlier this year. (Let's not count the silver Liberty Bell 20 second sellout LOL)
ats 2717 remained an hour before todays launch, 5,000 minus 2283 gone before today equals 2,717 available at Noon, September 3 2026
Enjoying the stability of our first matching pair Apple computers.
I saw on cnbc biz channel apple was going to experience price hikes were in pipeling a couple months ago. Went immediately to costco & bought two matching air on the spot. Price up $550 each. Crazy huh ? And they really play well with out iphones.
Oh, & my 10am order just got 2nd email saying "confirmed"
This year 40% (2000) of the mintage was offered to the big boys early at 5% more and was gobbled up.
Guessing the dual date and privy was a big factor.
Last year 40% (1600) of the mintage was also offered but only 659 was sold early at the premium.
However, after the HHL was lifted the rest went fairly quickly.

They probably won't. They don't seem to do too much for these palladium coins. I bought one last year to see what they looked like and was very impressed, but not enough to become a collector of them. Congrats to those few who got one today.

I would guess they held some to sell at the Long Beach Expo next week. Maybe some SemiQ Trump Dollar bags/rolls too were held back for the show. Not much else new on the Mint calendar to offer at the show.

I believe I read there was approx 2,000 that went to the ABPP (who took their whole allotment)

They likely make 50 trillion of these $ and with mark up over cost senoreige will be able fully fund our debt load as of two weeks ago. These will be pleantiful, don't need to pay $1.65 a pop for a dollar coin.
$329 back to my plastic is the choice.
Which would take a tasty bite out of $1,915 dropped at 10am for tomorrows by noon delivery of Mercury $25 Pd Oz.
I hope its pretty & perfect, & not an another advanced buyers reject/return.
I'll know in seconds if it will go back as its been recurring and annoying.
My overnight deliveries have had a 55% reject due to Quality Control.
My other orders that I wait 2-3 weeks delivery have been 100% Quality Control, thus all keepers.
I called the Mint and the representative said they’re having the same issue on their end where they’re having to refresh pages (as that place orders) or start over due to being called non-human or inhumane or aliens!
Whatever.
I have the same issue. It is the 2nd time recently. I got hit with the SemiQ quarter roll last week. Customer service seems busy right now because of all the people that this has happened to. I my give up in try later in the day.

Not that they wouldn't. If 2K went to bulk, that answers the question regarding whether they will make 5K.
If 2K out of 5K went to ABPP, and you guys wanted them, you guys got screwed, and that also explains an 8 minute sell out.
But make no mistake -- 5K is anemic. If they thought they could sell 10K, they would make them. These are not gold Liberty Bells being offered at a $15K per ounce premium to spot. Or silver Liberty Bells at a $1500 premium to spot.

Pavlovian dogs jumping when a low mintage bell rings does not make a market. Please keep things in perspective -- they sold 2700 in less than 10 minutes. Not 27K.
They sold more BOM4s at 3x the price in less time. Yes, I'm questioning whether there is a market for them.
They sold out in under 10 minutes. Bom did not sell out. One of those means more people want them than can get them. One of them means there are more coins available than buyer wanting them. Can you figure out which is which?

Also no household limit on the best of the mint... palladium would have sold out even more quicky if there wasn't the limit of one.
What? BOMs all had HHLs of 1 for the first 24 hours. And palladium has a tiny mintage limit because they had a hard time selling them with higher limits. Not because it is Liberty Bell 2.0. Where they couldn't even sell the 2K they produced, due to the obnoxious pricing.
It also has half the premium to spot of the gold coins, in an attempt to stimulate demand. People who try to justify the gold premiums by costs the Mint has to recover should consider how and why the Mint charges half as much for platinum and palladium, where the volumes are much lower, and the fixed cost allocations are consequently much higher. The obvious answer is that they charge what the market will bear, and that cost recovery has nothing to do with the premiums they charge.
Whatever palladium is or is not, you can't deny that it's a very niche product. If you like it, that's great. I'm very happy for you.
But it's not a traditional precious metal, and there is a very limited market for it in coinage. I'm not wrong to question that market, no matter how quickly the US Mint sold a whopping 2700 units.
The simple fact is that the Mint can obviously sell 2K of anything if they price it right. Again, that really does not make a market. It just shows that there are enough people out there to chase low mintage products if they are not outrageously priced.
They also sold at least 1800 of all of the First Spouse coins. Doesn't make them anything above and beyond bullion today, even though they sold for significant premiums at the time. And even though many of them sold more than 2K units within 10 minutes of going on sale

Are you kidding? Do you really think it would have taken 8 minutes for the Mint to sell 2700 BOM4s at $5740 if that was all they made available for sale?
The closest BOM comparison in terms of pricing is BOM2. To date, they sold 16,489 out of a maximum mintage of 30K. Do you really think they sold fewer than 2700 in the first 8 minutes?
Given the tiny mintage, a quick sell out is a function of nothing other than limited availability. Half the per ounce premium to spot as compared to gold certainly helps value, but what does it do for secondary market demand?
I don't know, and I don't care. Because I, like just about everyone else, do not collect palladium.
But, as I said before, if this works for you, I am happy for you. Nothing wrong with it.
But, please, please, please, resist the urge to compare the palladium market to the gold market. There is a reason they only try to sell 5K of one at a $500 premium to spot, while 15-25K of the other at a $1,000 premium to spot is typical. And it's not because they suddenly want to resist the urge to squeeze us for every dollar they can get.
That’s all good and well but you still didn’t answer the question. One coin has more buyers than available coins. One has more coins than buyers. Can you figure out which is which? It’s a simple supply and demand question.
