I would not be surprised if the kind lady is simply a contract worker provided by another company and has never been to any US Mint and doesn't know much about anything beyond her training.

Although it was not publicly announced, such things would not be, as they are internal Mint employee issues that the Director has discretion to do and there are only 1500-1700 employees that would be involved, so a very small number of the 250,000 coins. But, I think that it has been sufficiently established, particularly in light of the letter of July 1, 2026 to mint employees from Director Hollis:

I assume that when you "called the mint" you probably were speaking to the customer service people at a vendor or fulfillment center. They were presumably not involved with the mint employee recognition/bonus.

For the W quarters there was significant premium for my PCGS First Discovery quarters.
I expect the same for this one and the one certified by PCGS.
