They said they would be distributed out into the wild by then. These are the first we've seen so far on auction sites, aside from pre-sales.

A couple of yesterday's listings. This is INSANE!!! He did $12,080.88 before fees just yesterday. What a baller, dunking on the Ebay buyers.

As you see these things popping up on eBay, keep an eye on this. It could be an indication of where the fed dumped them into circulation.

I know what a privy is, but honest question, what makes them desirable? Just the limited quantity?

I’ve noticed that eBay sold prices do not always reflect whether the item sold for a lower offer, so it’s possible those prices are higher than what was realized. Still, I’m sure it was a nice chunk of change (literally and figuratively).

If someone has multiples at this early stage, it is either a scam, or they were not distributed as advertised.

    50 states. 350 million people. 250,000 quarters.

No one should be able to get more than one if the distribution is actually widely disbursed, without buying them from other people. And, we have not seen that market yet. Might very well be counterfeits if they are not certified, and there are no refunds.

Fake ASEs are widely available on eBay for less than $20, and some of them look pretty good. How difficult would it be for the folks cranking out fake Morgans and ASEs to replicate that privy mark on a real quarter in such a way as to pass muster for an eBay listing?

In fact, "ender roll" virtually screams eBay scam.

There are way too many unreasonable assumptions in this response.

If you say so. I say an "ender roll" containing one of these coins is an unreasonable assumption.

Because it should be obvious that no buyer paying $55 for that understands what they were buying. Description notwithstanding. By design. The image is of the coin. Not the cutout. By design.

People are stupid and focus on pictures. Maybe they read and don't understand. Maybe they don't read at all.

This is why your observation required a rebuttal. Because it was facile, and did not address why anyone would pay $55 for a "corrugated fiberboard reference cutout."

True. But the "ender roll" was a tell-tale clue. At least to me. If they had a connection, they wouldn't be selling unopened rolls, because they'd know what they had, and wouldn't be giving it away on eBay.

Yes. There is always an alternate conceivable explanation. Not the obvious one, but a talking point and excuse to have a debate.

Why not just admit that the odds of anyone having so many are very low, unless the Mint lied to us regarding how they were distributed? And then, if someone did get their hands on quantity, why not claim the bounty from the TPGs? As well as the premium slabbed examples will be going for?

Yes. Anything is always possible. The world might end tonight. I'm going with the obvious, as usual. You can speculate about unlikely possibilities. People who aren't scammers don't seed rolls and sell them on eBay.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The instigator of all debate is YOU! You keep making affirmative statements that are pure speculation. Then when someone (me) points out there are other possible explanations, you claim we're looking for an argument. If you don't want a discussion, don't post speculation.

I even just mentioned that it said "cut out" in the title - a simple, true statement - and you claimed that required a rebuttal.

I don't care if you want to argue. But at least admit that it's you.

You guys are barking up the wrong trees and spinning your wheels. We all need to figure out access points. Where, when and how. Banks, credit unions, talking to your tellers (donuts help). Somehow gaining access to an inside track on distribution and locations.

We need to get back to basics.. Loomis and Brinks coin rolling centers, truck delivery schedules and routes. Drivers names! 😂 🤣

We need to flood the zone. We need to get our hands on teller applications and Loomis and Brinks driver applications! 🤣 😂

Customer came by today said he found one in a box of quarters here in Fay, NC were about 50 miles from SC line. I told him, like to see it thur am and too bring it by, want to confirm he is not Bs'ing. Ill update thursday if I see in hand??

NEVER SHOWED TODAY< A BS"ER as I suspected. Full of crap, not only that, he kept coming in with good coins better dates, etc claiming that he was buying these at half wholesale from a dealer in chicago area. No dealer is going to consistantly sell key date, and problem free better stuff at half grey-sheet period. I knew he was full of it the past few weeks, and this confirms it with this bs story about the july 4th privy

Upon tracking these on Ebay it is apparent that most if not all sellers have found more than 1 of these in their box of Jefferson quarters. Also, they are being found in different parts of the country.

Pretty amazing how many have been found today!

All that might mean is he wrapped it.

    🥰🤣🤣🤣🥰😂😍😍😍😂🤣

The instigator of debate has become a joke.

Upon tracking these on Ebay it is apparent that most if not all sellers have found more than 1 of these in their box of Jefferson quarters. Also, they are being found in different parts of the country.

Pretty amazing how many have been found today!

WOW what luck! Found not only ONE, but TWO! :open_mouth:

And how many have you found? These are super rare.

I didn't expect to see sellers with multiples in a box.
