That's the cool thing about this specific large-stars example - it's a clash mark!

    Where?

In the meantime, I’ll guess MS62, shot AU58.

If color not an issue, i guess 63. I don't feel any wear present, perhaps some cabinet friction. Not near as smart as some other graders here, but that's my opinion. Were this coin mine, I would never accept AU prices for it, so I might own it for a while. Lol

Just a wild guess because he said details and there are numerous hits in the right
    obverse fields.

I don’t like the color. My grade is AU sharpness, AT.

I don’t care for the tiny untoned stops here and there. It does not look like the “terminal” black toning.

I thought I had said so, Mark, when I said I would not let the coin go for AU prices if it were mine and GTG of MS63. You have no idea how close I was to saying MS64, then got scared by all the others. lol

Seriously had the TV been shown, most would not have gone below 62-63 (well, except @MsMorrisine )

I thought 63 when I saw the original post, then scrolled down and saw 64. Cool looking coin, sort of a “Black Beauty” 🌚

Probably. However, the color in the Trueview photos is way off base. For virtually every viewing angle, the coin is dark blue/grey.

So based on the owner’s photo vs the True View, if you bought the coin from the True View and it looked like the owner’s photo when you received it, would you be disappointed or feel mislead?

In-hand, from almost all viewing angles, my photo conveys a substantially more accurate representation. And I personally much prefer the darker appearance over the heavily exaggerated colors in the Trueview.

However, the owner says his photos more accurately reflect what the coin looks like in person…..soooooo…….
