Ohio State has undeniable talent at the “skill positions” which matches well with anyone. The team weakness which was on display during their last two games is the offensive line. It is Ryan Day’s fault that when it was exposed by Indiana it wasn’t fixed by the Miami game.

That should probably be something the Buckeyes at least consider in the Transfer Portal.

All things considered, the pick six was probably the pivotal point in the game. After that things were fairly even until the last five minutes when Miami controlled both sides with key plays and won. The first down by Beck was impressive.

Agreed. And they also need to hire a kicker for heavens sake. And Julian Sayin needs to be not scared to run the ball. He had missed opportunities to get 1st downs and held on to the ball for too long.

    Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

Nice to see bull sitter climb out of his hole, as an Alabama homer it’s been a tough two years. Funny, the second favorite thing for Alabama fans to do is hate on OSU. 😂😂😂

Hard to believe Ohio State outgained Miami 332 to 291 yards.

    .
    332 yards?
Did you include the pass that Sayin threw to the Miami defender for that beautiful pick 6?

    Jeremiah Smith lit em up.

    157 yards receiving, TD

    .
    Yes, he did......but guess what......

Another unlikely outcome as Oregon is pitching a shutout of Texas Tech. I guess that might be something to the “lay-off” and teams being rusty.

That’s means we should expect both Indiana and Georgia to lose.

This Fernando Mendoza character is really hard not to root for, he is just a nice kid

I think Bama keeps it close but their inability to establish a strong running game is going to hurt them

Michigan led in the 4th quarter and lost to a team favored to beat them. You have a very, very odd definition of embarrassed. I think leading late in a game like that after the turmoil they had is a performance to be proud of, regardless of outcome.

I do agree with the other poster who said that Underwood needs a lot of work. His throwing mechanics are atrocious. I expect Whittingham to get that straightened out. All the news out of Ann Arbor has Underwood staying put.

They gave up 17 in the 4th and the game got away from them while facing a 2nd string defense. I would call that embarrassing.

If Texas had their starting defense I would have a different opinion.

If Underwood was smart he would go to Kiffin who turned a D2 QB into a stud at Ole Miss, but I dont know if Kiffin really has interest and if the rumors are just from the boosters

OSU scored 14 against Texas, 10 against Indiana, and 14 against Miami. Non existent offense against real teams

Miami's offense....non existent against real teams.

    vs texas a@m - 10 points
vs Ohio State - 17 points

Miami won both games. OSU went 1-2 and would have been 0-3 if they played Texas a month ago instead of the first week when Arch was garbage the first half of the year.

The funniest part is youre trying to talk trash about a team that just beat your favorite team which means all youre doing is saying OSU was overrated

How long is Bama going to put up with DeBour and when will they actually find a QB that can throw the ball more than 5 yards again. At least they finally benched Simpson, but its crazy how they misuse Williams

Ah, there it is. Michigan wasn't missing their two best defensive players or running backs. Only Texas was missing people, got it.

If you're winning in the 4th against a failed opponent - with, oh yeah, an interim head coach - no, you did not get embarrassed. Especially when your opponent is from the all-powerful-every-guy-will-play-in-the-nfl SEC.

Simpson really pulled the reverse Archie. Arch was terrible the first half and got better, Simpson was good the first half and kept getting worse.

DeBour probably gets another year but needs to be fired and some on the staff probably will be. Wouldnt be surprised if Williams transfers

I don’t think the opt outs should be used as any form of excuse. Too bad, so sad. Indiana and Oregon looked impressive. Tech couldn’t find any rhythm and Morton looked uncomfortable.

Looking forward to not hearing OSU is so great crap for a while but OSU fans are still going to be OSU fans.

The games for the most part have been good, but I can’t say the same for the announcers and the officiating. There has been a lot of holding, especially by DB’s along the sidelines and pushing off with both WR’s and DB’s. This has been the case in all 4 CFP games.

But every team in the SEC is 5 NFL players deep at every defensive position - missing a few starters should be no problem.

That’s the trouble with all the non-call holding and PI. They don’t call very blatant stuff through the whole game and then at a critical time they call ticky tack penalties.

The officials give it the look of picking the winner.

At some point these coaches have to start letting the kickers free. The Ole Miss kicker was hitting 56 yard kicks with at least 15-20 extra yards on it

    2025 -- 12 team playoff

    Sec - 5 teams
    Big Ten - 3 teams

    CFP SEMIFINALS

    2 BIG TEN Teams
    1 SEC Team

    Sec - Poor bowl record

Yet ESPN says the sec is the best conference.

Quite possibly the most lopsided and embarrassing loss in recent playoff history.

Pity the poor ‘Tide fans who are desperate for something to cheer about. Gonna be a long off-season.

OSU losing to Miami is much more embarrassing and you guys are carrying a heavy load here doing everything you can with rhetorical narratives to save your fragile egos. OSU was the odds on favorite and then they evaporated. Look over there doesn’t change the facts. Miami.

The two most interesting things to me about the CFP to date:
    - only one team with a first round bye has advanced in two years. It’s a small sample but seems relevant.
    - only one Conference Champion made it to the semifinals in the CFP’s first two years.

The obvious conclusion seems to be that being ranked 5-12 and not playing in a Conference Championship is an advantage. I figure Indiana will buck that logic and win the Natty.

Everyone knew Miami is a tough out as they beat ND, who I think was one of the best teams in the country, and they destroyed their last 5 opponents. The top 4 bye week gave Miami an advantage.
