So far in this post season the SEC has proven itself to be what I called it mid-season, a conference with a few good teams and a bunch of average teams, nothing more.

But you said the sec teams have the most draft picks and high star players, so they should be able to re-load with the backups with no problem.

Penn State had more opt outs than Clemson, yet they still won by two touchdowns.

A couple of good BIG TEN bowl games Tuesday night.

    USC VS TCU

    Tennessee vs Illinois.

Tennessee didnt have to travel very far. The game is in Nashville LOL.

Also TCU playing in their home State of Texas. So basically road games for the two BIG TEN teams.

They do have more star power and more draft picks. But as Ive said for a year now this isnt 2012 anymore. 4 and 5 stars dont sit on the bench if they arent starting. They transfer somewhere they can start freshman year then transfer back if it goes well.

Missouri has their back up QB making his 3rd start ever with mostly back up WRs playing. LSU has multiple defensive players that are going to the NFL opt out including at least one that will very likely be in the first round.

Texas will likely lose to Michigan now that 7 of their 11 starting defensive players have said they arent going to play unless their offense that has a bunch of RBs saying theyre likely opting out goes off.

No one cares about low level opt outs, well shouldnt anyways which is why I never mention them unless theyre significant.

QB play. Reed isnt that good and they cant find a QB to save their life since Manzel. They either always get hurt like King and do better elsewhere or just arent that good

basebal says Texas likely loses to Michigan, despite all that went down with their coach.. Vegas has Texas a 7.5 favorite.

Also according to the ESPN Football Power Index, they(espn) gave LSU a 67.4% chance of beating Houston.

Did you miss the part that not only was their DC fired but 7 of their 11 starters on defense have opted out and theres rumors their DT will be the 8th?

Theres only so many significant opt outs a team can have. I take Texas every time if this game was played a month ago

You do realize that vegas factors in opt outs right? Arch Manning is a lot better QB than Bryce Underwood.

They set lines to influence betting behavior so they dont lose their pants on a single game.

Im not going to be shocked if Texas wins, but theres a lot missing from the defense.

I do agree Arch is better than Underwood who I think is over rated but hes basically facing a second string defense. If he cant look good against that its time to find someone else

In a nutshell, I will translate from basebal-eese: the best players and the best teams are in the SEC but all the good players opt out of these games, the teams they play don’t lose anyone to opt outs.

Good game from both teams as Illinois keeps the Big 10 undefeated this Bowl season with a last second FG against Tennessee, sinking the SEC to 2-5.

I feel I should add that there were some Opt Outs!! 😂😂😂😂

Tennessee had 5 NFL players opt out for the draft. Their best LB, their best WR, their best DL man pass rusher, and their 2 best corners. Granted one of the corners was injured but the result isnt surprising with how many NFL guys they were missing

Illinois defeats Tennessee in Tennessee's backyard!!! Tennessee was just another among many overranked sec teams. For the second year in a row. Illinois beat a SEC team in a bowl game, as they will finish in the final top 25 polls and Tennessee will not.

USC had a 10 point lead with 4 minutes to play in the 4th quarter and loses in overtime. Luckily for TCU, they had the home crowd advantage.

USC, outside of the ROSE BOWL has a VERY poor record in bowl games.

The sec heisman runnerup finding out they play defense in the BIG TEN, so far held to a FG in the first half.

Well, there’s only one Opt Out for Vanderbilt of any consequence, so I wonder what the basebal excuse will be for this game. Comes the day when he’ll have to find a new one because this Opt Out BS is getting old.

Just another average SEC team that the Polls kept in play getting beat be a lowly Big 10 team.

Maybe Ferentz didn’t get the memo. 😂😂😂

Im honestly not sure whats so complicated about the fact that missing NFL players makes your team worse. Even if you just sign a practice squad contract youre in the top 3 percent of college players.

Vandy had Sowers opt out for the draft who is their leading receiver. Iowa didnt

The two of you thinking that losing talent doesnt matter or make a team worse is what is priceless. The regular season results were very different than these exhibition games

The jersey doesnt matter, whose wearing it does

Every games been one possession and every game had had NFL otp outs sometimes many by the losing team. Yet during the regular season they had a winning record,

The refusal to acknowledge that who wears a jersey matters just means theres nothing to talk about intelligently

Supposedly Underwood is going to transfer to LSU with Kiffin where he would do better, but all those picks against the Texas back up defense is a yikes
