Calab Williams first two years are identical to Mitch Trubisky’s in Chicago. I believe he will have a better chance year 3 with Johnson but this is the NFL.
Next year, first place schedule, film and adjustments. We shall see.

Bad teams should get worse draft picks instead of better draft picks. Instead have their cap space increased or allow for dead cap to not count. Giving these teams high draft picks isn’t the answer.

That's actually not a horrible idea lol

Cap space nightmares for a team like Cleveland with the Watson debacle, something should be done about a high contract for a guy who just isn't playing, injured players cap penalties should not count

    Josh Allen - 30 TD, 21 INT

    Caleb - 43 TD, 12 INT

Allen’s first two years he had a group of receivers that were cast off from other teams. Really can’t compare. After Beasley and Brown joined and he actually has someone that didn’t have hands of stone he flourished.

Theres not really a good answer though. Either they get more talent or they stay bad. The problem is the bad teams generally draft bad and no matter what you do it wont change anything. The only thing that might actually change it is forcing a sale to a new owner if you have a top 5 or 10 pick 3 years in a row. When an owner goes through countless coaches and players and is just bad over and over and over again theyre likely the problem

During the broadcast I heard that Detroit had a couple players on the OL out and a couple guys were playing out of position. Campbell picked the wrong time to start being conservative on offense, but that game is mostly on Gibbs and Goff.

Vikings were missing 3 All Pro offensive lineman, both tackles and the Center. Left guard is a rookie.

Oh yeah, QB's and undrafted rookie.

I was only referring to the Lions challenges. Congrats to the Vikings on beating them. The Vikings offensive line stunk too. Did they give up 7 sacks?

    Yes, 7 sacks.

Announcers couldn't have been more biased.

Vikings leading in first half, with possession of the ball and less than 3 minutes until halftime.
Announcers; "Lions have time to score twice before half and take the lead, then they receive 2nd half kickoff".
REALLY? How did that work out for you?

Well nobody roots for spoilers, the Vikings played out of their minds to be a spoiler

Detroit had everything to lose and Minny had nothing to lose except a higher spot in the draft

    Congrats on the win regardless.

I thought "everybody roots for the underdog"?

Announcers are sure different than they used to be.
In my opinion, not in a good way.

Thanks, this is as close as I have ever come to hoping for a loss. Vikings (again) need offensive line help. Higher draft picks couldn't hurt.

I just can't root for them to lose.

I think it's the game announcers to milk and create as much interest as they can to the viewing audience. So as to maintain their attention to the commercials and gambling interest.

It is the continued biasness toward the 'popular' teams & players. The NFL likes the usual suspects of the Patriots, Cowboys, Chiefs, Packers, Eagles & Steelers.

The Tampa Bay Bucks will be finished after today. The defense, especially the secondary, is up to its usual third rate play. Baker Mayfield is down to his usual play over the last seven games. It remains to be seen of Todd Bowels will get the ax on Black Monday. Probably not. He’ll need another bad season to convince the owners he needs to go.

At least we will keep this year’s lack luster, unimpressive offensive coordinator. Nobody will want him, unless it’s the Giants or Jets. They lead pro football in bad decisions.

The Bucks in the half with a holding penalty and a blocked field goal.

I dunno why the fans taking heat for calling someone by their legal name. If you play high level.professional sports youre going to get chirped. Far worse chirps have been said at HS football games than that.

If the situation was the other way around and the fan walked over 20 yards to grab a player and then hit them they would be banned for life and facing criminal charges. Just because you can run fast doesnt mean you should be above the law.

I dont think it should be a contract voided, but it should be an automatic suspension for this season and the next. Players attacking fans is getting more common because they only get a slap on the wrist.

Pat Bev threw a ball into the stands at someone twice last year and smoked a woman in the face with it and only got a 4 game suspension from the NBA. Hes now facing domestic violence charges this year

The rules for thee but not for me stuff needs to stop. Im okay with players attacking fans with little to no consequence as long as fans are allowed to do the same.

The verdict is in and that fan is a total piece of trash and should be booted to the moon.

The playoffs are what matters to Buffalo. Overtime can result in injuries and more wear and tear on the team. They probably would not pass New England, even if they won the Eagles’ game. So they went for the quick win and lost.

Last season the Tampa Bay team had lost a game in the closing moments, but they still had Chris Godwin in the field. He ripped out his ankle which ended his season for the playoffs and left him hobbled at the beginning of this season.

McDermott didn't take into consideration that his D shut down Philly the entire second half so going for 2 to end that game as quick as possible win or lose as opposed to kicking the extra point and let the D continue to shut down Philly O is kind of bizarre but he gave Allen a chance for hero ball and he failed miserably, missing his WR like that was shameful

loved going for 2 there, for a number of reasons. first off, the conditions sucked and the Bills already had an XP blocked. second, if you're a believer in confidence and momentum, Buffalo had all of it. Philly was like a prizefighter just trying to get to the bell. if i'm McDermott i'm not giving them an opportunity to recover.......i'm putting them out of their misery when they have no answers. the Eagles had none in the second half, and they didn't on that 2-pt conversion either. i highly doubt Allen would have had an opportunity to hit a wide open receiver from 2 yards out in OT to win the game. that was on a silver platter.......he just missed the throw. 97 out of the next 99 times he attempted that same pass, they win.

it is possible to be pleased in defeat, and i am. we've won more than a handful of games in that exact same fashion -- Caleb taking the team down the field on the final drive of the game and snatching the dub. just wasn't meant to be this time. but taking one of the best teams in the NFL to the brink in their own house just goes to show how far my team has come. in years past we lose that game by 4-5 touchdowns, guaranteed. but because we have an offensive mastermind now running the show instead of a guy stealing a weekly paycheck like Eberflus, we're different. the Niners couldn't stop us. but unfortunately for us, we couldn't stop them. happens, especially when you play the best of the best. but as you said, highly entertaining game. i don't care what anyone says, Brock Purdy is a damn good QB. he really impressed me last night.

Philly spent too much time sitting on the lead. The late Howard Cosell used to call it "Playing not to loose," and very frequently you did.

As for Buffalo, in case any one missed it, Allen had a bum foot at the end of the game. All you need to do is have the bum foot turn into a major injury, and the playoffs are over for Buffalo. The Eagles' game didn't mean enough for them to take the chance.

I did hear that his foot was bothering him that's why he wasn't running all that well, they best hope he is ok if they have any chance at the playoffs.

Again though the WR situation is ridiculous, they brought in Mecole Hardman for a game and he goes on IR then they promptly release him once he got off it , Cooks was a good pick up but really they are not doing Allen any favors with WR's and it will cost them yet again

Still Buffalo had their chances and fell short, both Defenses deserved to win that game

Allen sprained his ankle before halftime against Cleveland. He makes that throw on the run 99 times out of 100 if he’s healthy. I think because it slowed him down he hurried the throw worrying someone might catch him from behind. Again, no problem with the Bills trying to end it. Playing another quarter was worse than a loss.
    The scenario is this.
Buffalo remains in the #7 seed and plays New England.
Buffalo wins Sunday, the Chargers and Texans lose and they go to Pittsburgh or Baltimore.
    Texans beat New England
    Chargers beat Jacksonville
    Buffalo beats Pittsburgh or Baltimore
Buffalo hosts a home game against the Chargers

Sounds far fetched but not as far fetched as one might think or just a Bills fan wishful thinking.
Either way 5 seed could host a playoff game

It’s happened time after time this season. The pundits say a team has got it going, like the Colts, then their season evaporates. Then they said the Rams are unbeatable. Then they lose to Carolina and Atlanta. Early in the year, they said San Francisco was toast, now they close to the top. Seattle had better hope the pundits say, “They’re not so hot.”

Apparently he originally dropped to the 5th round in the draft because of his mental or attitude problems.

He was mentally OK in Minnesota for a while, tremendous football player, but it became apparent he was big trouble.

He just has something wrong with him. I don't think he's going to "mature" out of his problem.

Justin Herbert is not playing in the Charger's week 18 game against the Broncos in Denver. He has an injured hand and apparently a win or a loss by the Chargers in week 18 does not significantly impact their playoff seeding (currently #6 with no ability to move into the top 4 seeds).

Denver, if it wins in week 18 will get the #1 seed. Even if Denver loses, it can still get the #1 seed if the Patriots and Jaguars lose.

So who will win the Chargers v. Broncos game 18?

  • 2dueces2dueces Posts: 6,870 ✭✭✭✭✭

I seriously doubt Allen plays Sunday. Not a thing to play for. The Bills are comfortable going into Foxboro. Not saying they’ll win, just comfortable in playing a team a third time. Houston will play the winner of Pittsburgh and Baltimore and win. Chargers will lost to the Jags. Just have zero faith in Herbert

Week 18 is usually a bunch of meaningless games. This year is different. 3 games have significant meaning
    Rams- Seahawks
    Panthers- Bucs
    Ravens- Steelers

I'm hearing these allegations are from his personal chef, if that's true it leaves the imagination to a better outcome than if it was his pregnant GF or Baby Mommas

Like maybe the Chef didn't get paid or some type of disagreement and frivolous lawsuit followed.

Oddly this happened in the 2nd and that following game he didn't play much

Who knows but hopefully there isn't too many legs to this story

Justin Herbert is not playing in the Charger's week 18 game against the Broncos in Denver. He has an injured hand and apparently a win or a loss by the Chargers in week 18 does not significantly impact their playoff seeding (currently #6 with no ability to move into the top 4 seeds).

Denver, if it wins in week 18 will get the #1 seed. Even if Denver loses, it can still get the #1 seed if the Patriots and Jaguars lose.

So who will win the Chargers v. Broncos game 18?

I just can't see Denver losing against the Chargers without Herbert
