Ha, no, not operator error. For some reason, since uploading some pics on a different CU discussion on the 22nd, I keep getting a "the file failed to upload" error message when trying to upload the pic on this CU discussion. I've seen notes from others who've said they've had the same problem at times. Is anyone else experiencing this now?

Yes, posting images is hit and miss for me. Sometimes they post, sometimes the failed to load message. I have opened the photo, made a slight alteration, saved it and it will work. Other times no.
Nice - that's a good one! There's only one known with a legible date, I believe.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal.
If you are off on Friday's then the weekend has started. It has been a crazy two weeks here. These things are multiplying. I know Mercs are low hanging fruit in the Gold CAC World but it is still hard to find nice coins in the old holders.
.
A few years ago, I had Dan Carr make a small number of these and an even smaller number were certified.

A few others that arrived in the last 2 weeks. Each cool for what they represent in the commems project. The BTW is the first Gold CAC, the Iowa is a coin that DRUNNER found for me, the Cinci is a very low pop coin.
I have a few really neat Old holder Walkers coming, sometime. Right now they are touring the US. Making stops from Maine to CO. Hopefully the package turns around soon and heads East again.

Posted this sample some time ago - had no idea of the value until one appeared on GC, ending tonight.

The write up in the auction, presumably by the consignor, is more than I knew before the auction. I had thought there were fewer, maybe 5-10.

Friday night and this one arrived a few hours ago. I did post it in the Doily thread since it is not listed in the census. I was really hoping to find a nice Walker in a Doily to add to my slab set. This fits right in. Ya, would love a MS65 or Gold CAC. Maybe someday.

Over the years have been accumulating a few coins from the decommissioned PCGS grading set.
The G4 arrived today. Would love to do a set from 3 to 58.
Was hoping it would match the current G4 in the on-line Photograde - correct date and MM but wrong coin. When compared to the current G4 on photo grade, this is a G5.

Tried to buy this from Fred Weinberg - brought crazy $$ at GC!

I picked these up from an old collector friend on Friday. The coins had resided in a bank safe deposit box for decades before seeing the light of day again. Happy to have them as part of my collection now.
My weekend has started. Here is a scarce NGC 2.1 that showed up yesterday. My first Gen 2.1 and really like the holder (and the coin is great). I need to post this in the NGC Census thread as it is not included in the list. That is assuming the list is still active. Interesting that they did not include the Commem name on the label. Just the year. That seems to have changed when they went to the Gen 2.0 label (yes, the order of Generations is backwards numerically)

Thanks @pcgscacgold.
I reduced the image size. Resaved it as a new file. Dragged and dropped, instead of uploading, and whoa-la . . .

How many were produced or are known with or without the date?

Tim, do you own one of these? Up to this point, I had only seen one in your thread post. Does anyone know the population and story on this prototype?

Not the weekend yet but this was purchased on the weekend. Goes great with the other Proof Franklin in my Gold CAC only old holder Proof Franklin set.
A scarce 2.2 and with a gold bean and great looking coin. A trifecta.

I am really liking these Gen 2.0/2.1 Fatty NGC holders. This coin looks amazing in hand. My first but not last. Two more on the way.

Maybe not rare plastic but it is rare in the sense that no other 1924 Merc (non-FB) has a gold sticker. It is a Gen 4.0 so not all that common.

Congrats - no name of the commem is unusual!
My success rate with uploading multiple pics from my ipad isn’t very good.
I hope a few of these are actually in the proper order.
I’m not really sure what rare plastic is, maybe Polyvinyledene floride, rarely encountered anyway!
