Kind of silly to get excited about, but I have been looking for one of these for close to a year. Obviously I could’ve gone online and ordered one, but I wanted to wait for one to come through the shop where I could see it in person.
Anyway, last Monday, it showed up and I snagged it!
And it’s a nice looking example in my opinion. Last year, I got the 10 ounce version, you see those pretty often but the fives are pretty tough…

Oh yeah! Silver is tasty at $4 under spot!
A perk of working in a B&M
Got this for $470 today. It does take a little bit of the edge off of these new, higher prices…
Would it be a conflict of interest for you to flip some of the vintage pickups here in the classified section?
Only if I was saying that it was for my personal collection, getting a lower price, and then selling immediately afterwards. yes, I think that would, but if I were to buy stuff and just simply sell it on here, that would not be a problem, he encourages me to make money on stuff…
My biggest problem is wanting to let go of the stuff I buy 😆 I’m a great dealer for the shop, but with my own personal stuff, I’m a horrible dealer! I always wanna keep all the cool stuff! 😆

Nothing wrong with hanging on to what you like.
I'm looking more towards buying it right and sell it right, then rinse and repeat with the profit.
In the end it makes your keeps cheaper or more of them...helps the shop turn money around and with a little labor on your part could be beneficial for all parties involved.
I was buying from a local shop when they got something in that was interesting.
I as well didn't sell anything, just bought until my wallet squawked and then hit the ATM.
After awhile the inventory started to slow down and the pricing went up as they got in the vintage silver bars.

Occasionally, I will buy something to resell but very very rarely less than 10% of the time, most of the time I’m buying for my collection and I will admit it is very fun and yes, it keeps me constantly broke 😆

I got this one years ago.. don't see them very often:

That’s very cool! Looks like it’s the same bar basically.
I’d like to find another example but of a different weight, particularly 5 ounces.

Your hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need it.
