Had a good time this morning.. I had another Pic of my Althea's that showed up today but it wouldn't load.. and this is my afternoon coffee as well... These rolls I'm showing go into my Hoard and they were brought to me by an employee who was out and about this last few weeks...
A new addition for my circulated (but not chopped) trade dollar album. At first glance, a common date. But this is the type 2/2 with Large S mm, the second scarcest variety for the date behind the famous DDO.
Good Saturday morning everyone!
My wife ordered some Fall season coffee, so I’m having a cup of maple walnut brew. It’s actually really good and smells the kitchen up nicely.
Speaking of Fall…..how about some Autumn color?
This arrived Thursday from GC. An absolute stunner in hand.
To make @Barberian proud, I cracked this coin out of its NGC AU55 holder and submitted for variety attribution at PCGS. Came back same grade and is now the "top pop" for the variety (WB-22 RP7). It has been cleaned but the crumbling die is the main attraction (and the coin is reverse mounted in the holder accordingly!):

Had a cup of Joe and now I’m off to see a coin collection that’s for sale. The collector was banker who passed and the widow is working through it all.
I see what could be all 15 prestige sets, some small stacks of ASEs maybe. Lots of mint sets. Hard to say if proof storage boxes will have clad or silver proofs or both. And I bet the coins in the albums with stamps are cleaned.
The bank envelope says “$20 misprinted”. That could be interesting.
Hoping for some gold. This is what I have to go on before we meet to go through it all.

I don't know Trade dollars, but I share your excitement because I'm also enjoying some rare die marriage additions to my collection.

Nice! I truly love my varieties. It's a lot of fun and endlessly interesting,
And since one good turn deserves another, here is my 75-S Micro S although mine is only an R4.
Happy Saturday morning ... from South of the Equator and just the other side of the Date line. You might have to think about it a moment, but it IS Saturday here.
Hope you all are well!
The coins and currency I am seeing recently, and where I stopped after a 3 km hike yesterday am. Today I woke up on the West Coast (of NZ) and it was storming.
No coffee shot. It was a French Press Italian Roast today.

GM all - just got back from the Baltimore show and I wasn't able to find any Capped Bust Half Dimes, Dimes, Quarters or anything classic. So I had to "Settle" for a modern coin. Maybe do a Proof Barber half set - Prices got beaten up -
Yes- I think coins after 1839 are modern - sorry to say. LOL
Enjoy your weekend. Note - the picture doesn't do it justice.....
After a 3 week hiatus from this great thread, that included visiting with friends in England & cruising across the Atlantic, it’s good to be back:
Here’s what they look like:
I thought it would be appropriate for me to post one of my specialties - IHC’s. These came while I was away & look like they were freshly minted. Beans included to make them “prettier”!
I’ll close my return today with a “tease” - Todd (@pursuitofliberty) & the CBH guys, I have one for next week!
@EastonCollection Congrats on that 1904......She's Ex. Eldo, truly gorgeous, and I love her. Very close to Cam on the obverse, if not fully Cam! Here's the old TV that Phil took.
Good morning gang,
This is a strange piece struck in lead (so no licking the crema off of your cappuchino fingers!)
Apparently, this token was good for a coffee house called "The Burning Question," presumably for a cup of Joe, but it says "Admit One" on the reverse. It was also the title of a movie, so maybe these were promotional pieces. Pretty interesting and cheap fun. I bought it specifically to post with you all on this thread.
Happy Saturday to everyone!

I have been begging @CircCam for this coin for about 2 years. Finally one day this past week, he randomly said “it’s going to end up going to you anyways so I might as well rip the band aid off” 🤣 What a great friend.
Each week, everyone posts some fabulous coins on this thread. So impressive. Just amazing. @Eldorado9 - The 1904 Barber half is love at first sight for me! @SanctionII - 1951 Franklin is pretty awesome. One day I got to focus on Franklins. But I prefer the classics still. @Copperindian - I am in awe on how bright red for the 1897.

The twins. And it’s 4:00pm here, so it’s a Tito’s and soda instead, no coffee this late.
