Great coins! @pcgscacgold You've been on a roll lately. @Pnies20 calls you a BUM! You keep on picking up beauties like those and I may have to agree with him! :D

Just great coins this morning overall, and running the gamut. From some chocolate brown Cents from @lkenefic to some dazzling dollars by @Eldorado9 and @FlyingAl , with @DCW showing off a obscure medal in there as well! And then there is @Barberian and some criculated crust.

But where the heck is @JWP ??!!!

Here's another one I purchased from the ANA in Oklahoma City, this one from Dave Kahn.

It was NOT part of his featured sale, and may have been with the same collection since it's last public appearance at one of Sheridan Downey's Mail Bid sales in 2017 (it has some very familiar stickers and I know who owned it from the Reiver Sale and commissioned it to the MB sale).

I also find it interesting that it is one of two ex Jules Reiver coins I purchased in connection with the show. I also won the 1834 B-1 Quarter with a wonderful VLDS crack from Stack's offering of the Steve Tompkins Collection (that he had owned since the Reiver Sale), which I shared a couple weeks back.

Anyway, this is just one of those crusty "grey dirt" coins that tickle my fancy, and tend to relieve me from any money left in my wallet.

    1836 O-115 (115.1) PCGS AU58 CAC

ex-Reiver, ex-Davignon. Formerly from Sheridan Downey Mail Bid 45, Lot 49, where it was described as:

Classic “grey dirt,” with golden highlights through the stars and legend. The surfaces are essentially perfect. Full luster, though not vibrant. Just a trace of friction on the portrait.

Lot 23345 in the Jan. 2006 Reiver Sale. Jules’ white kraft envelope accompanies, noting a purchase date of June 23, 1982.

“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
