    I don't have any "official" 58+'s yet. But a lot of my stuff has never been sent in for Plus reconsiderations.

    As far as my NEWP, we'll see how I feel after a few more looks. Unfortunately white plastic usually goes begging in the CBH realm whenever it comes time to sell, unless it has a bean. And even then somewhat, sometimes. I'm pretty confident in the coin, and I gave up on cross overs a long time ago. Believe in the coin and send it raw. Anyway, like I said, not sure yet.

    Ah thanks as my Dear grandmother was legit Swedish (nee- maiden name - Hegglund). It does help hold her in my mind.

    Anyone following along probably knows I am a little crazy about CBH's and specific Die Marriages and Die States. So for our coin, let's do something kind of difficult.

    This is my second 1828 O-121a, which is a fairly difficult r.4+ coin to find. I sold my other to Dave Kahn after he saw it at the ANA last year. It subsequently sold, but not sure where it went. That coin was an NGC AU58, and while I liked it, she didn't really fit in my collection right (hard to quantify, but she was a dazzler).

    Anyway, when this came up in the The Towers Collection, Part II this Winter, I knew I had to consider her carefully. After viewing I knew I wanted to take her home. Thankfully no-one really bid me up, because I would have went further, and I absolutely love her.

    CrustyColor, personified. Also, undergraded IMO.

    (121.2), r.4+; ex-Torres, Ruby-red and emerald-green accents catch the eye, while subtle iridescence fills the fields of this attractively toned O-121a example. The smooth, well-patinated surfaces are free of significant marks and the strike lacks sharpness only at points of wear such as Liberty's upper curls and immediately above the drapery.

    US Large-size Currency has a major pull on me, and so I dabble. I might go crazy, but I am not of the means to chase two brides.

    One note I have always wanted was a Series 1869 "Rainbow". These are pretty popular and not the hardest Notes to find, although they are pricey, and aren't the easiest to find nice that check all the boxes, especially if you want something specific.

    I like all of the designs for the different denominations, but I long decided I wanted a $5. example, which ties into a Denomination Type Set I would like to complete ... maybe, someday.

    And then, over the Central States auctions, I found it. It certainly didn't come cheap, but thank God, unlike those crazy CBH's, just one will do!

    So, here is my Colorful Note for the day!

    A very attractive example, this popular Rainbow Woodchopper is well margined on both face and back with excellent color and original surfaces. New to the census, it has the look of a Choice New note within its PMG holder.
