Agree Monte. I've owned alot of valuable vintage 10's over the years and this Carew in hand is right in the wheelhouse of having 55/45 Centering. It's an absolute mind blasting card to pull fresh from a Cello Pack and see in person. By far my all time favorite Carew card ever produced.
Sorry. They are gorgeous cards and I am probably wrong and jealous. I just haven't received correctly graded cards from PSA lately ,but should not have downgraded yours. Again, I apologize.

I agree it can be totally brutal. Will plow through and see what happens. I hope the cards get a little love, but if they don't then it will suck. We are in the same boat. Thanks and sorry for being defensive.
Gorgeous cards. This is my favorite set. Tremendously underrated but seems to be finally getting some recognition with all the great rookie and second year cards.

I love REA as a quality auction house but don't like their closing template. I can't stay up all night and like to be in the bidding action versus just throwing out a max and going to bed. They have lost a lot of what likely would have been higher prices from me if they closed auctions out the way Heritage does. I definitely enjoy bidding in Heritage Auctions and Collect Auctions a lot more.

I also like them BECAUSE of how their auction closes. It forces me to make a bid and then forget about it instead of chasing it every 2 minutes. I like that REA stays open until midnight eastern time for all lots…then close lot-by-lot after midnight. It had been that an auction would close until no lots received a bid…and it would the wee hours of the morning until closing occurred.

The design of 1971-72 Basketball is as good as it gets. It's easily my favorite set. I'm hoping to see you had much better luck with that box after those first couple of cards Uff!

Seems to be the least centered card in the pack. Most are dead on. Carew is close to 60/40

By far the most impressive centered pure Vintage Pack I've ever opened with sharp corners and vibrant colors to boot !!
It is amazing how well centered those all were. Seems like a unicorn cello.
The way PSA grades today , Mathews a 9. Carew an 8. What do you think?

RA method shows lack of regard for their clients time. I am someone who cant run my life aroud a trading card auction thus gave up on them years ago.
