Hey Oakstar, I just got this box today. I have seen this before, and believe the 20 rolls are already gone through by another person. The other 30 rolls are normal.

These two deserve their own post. The 1889 coin from Spain is now my oldest foreign coin and also my oldest silver coin of any type that I have found in circulation. The 1939-S nickel is truly outstanding to my eye, It is a reverse of 1938, but it has nearly full steps, and is a blazer.

I've seen fewer than a dozen of this '82 set but there were a couple of the gemmiest Philly quarters in them. It could be just luck of the draw but where there's one Gem there are always more.

I didn’t realize they were that rare. I’ve only bought 3 to this point and yes they were very gemmy hitting 66+ on the P halve and 67 on the D.
The D I had graded later post Phil. CERT says VG 10 label says MS 67 go figure.

Especially if I end up in the black. I only paid $1 over grey sheet per set so I only need a few hits to cover plus the bulk will be resold.

I call these "california sets" for lack of a better name. What state is on the mailing box envelopes? From what state did the entire shipment originate?

No clue, though I bought these in Texas I doubt that they originated here. I need to find more of these. One of the first ones I purchased the nickel is an absolute stunner but it didn't have FS so there it sits.
So far, I have been through them all setting aside in one stack the throw backs, then a stack of "these are worth another look", and then finally a stack of roughly 50 that will most likely be opened. Although that final stack will go through another finalization first.
This 84 might be the sleeper of this bunch. The more I look the more I like...
A slightly different time period but this similar looking 83 hit 66 and with a couple big hits. The 84 is cleaner in that respect.
Fyi they both came from those yellow hard plastic Souvenir sets.
6 boxes of quarters searched- only one W mint found. These seem to have dissappeared suddenly- I used to average about 1-2 per box. This is my only find in 6 $500.00 boxes
SO, I decided to try nickels for the next few weeks.
One box searched-After finding all of the following coins in one box I will be getting more from the same bank
.
One war nickel 1944-P
.
Four V-nickels??? in one box?
.
.
Two dateless Buffalo's- One has a MM (I cannot detemine which mm at this point)
.
.
.One each 2024-P and 2024D (These are selling for insane prices on eBay-I was hoping to get 2024 BU boxes, I got a 2022-P BU box and a 2023-P BU box still hoping for a 2024-P next week-you never know)
.
.
The cool 2023-P reverse die clash .
. The scratch above the TI kinda devalues it abit- but it is still a neat find
a 1953-S possible RPM?
Finds not shown 1940-S, 1954-S, 1953-S, 1949-D,1946-S and two 1939-P's.

Quite a few neat finds here, for one box. I thnk I will stay will nickels for quite a while.
Searched 20 rolls of the next box and found another one of these! 2023-P with the "eye's" die clash. You can also see the die clash on the obverse. These are also a WDDR-045 or WDDR-047. I have not been able to detemine which one yet.

A couple of great scores this month already.
I posted the first group in a separate thread I was so blown away by it.
I got only about half a box (27 Loomis rolls) from Chase and ended up with 16 40% and a Franklin!!
Yesterday I got 3 customer rolls from the same Chase and ended up with 3 more 40%!
My October finds.
Five wars, five buffs, and three proofs for the nickels.
Ten silvers and two proofs for the dimes if you count the 1928 Nicaragua coin.
And finally, one walker, one Ben, and ten 40%ers for the halves. Almost all of it came from my first box of the month.

Latest nickel finds since my last post:
7 War nickels and a Barbados 2005 five cent coin
6 "EYE" clash nickels 3-2023-P, A 2011-P, A 2015-P and A 2017-P. It is possible that these "EYE" clashes may be found on every nickel issued after 2005. I have started to check every nickel from 2006-date for this anomaly. The 2023-P issue is the most promenent and easiest to see.

A couple of reruns. The 86 had a brittle cellophane and somewhere down the line punched through and sat there (in the envelope) exposed to the yellow envelope (obv) and the info insert (rev). long enough to tone.
I wasn't too surprised when it fell out of the envelope though after opening and retrieving the packs. Because, I also found a $2 Bank of Chattanooga bank note (copy) in one, some 1976 Mardi Gras tokens in another, and a 1986 SAE in a small paper sleeve (skipped a heart beat when I saw the leading edge not yet knowing what I had).
