Finds from this weeks half dollar hunt (2 boxes $1000.00 face value searched) Shown in no specific order.
5 Franklin's
1-1964 Kennedy
4 regular proofs (impared)
A 2008-S challenger proof ? Don't know where this one came from. Still a pretty neat find!
two stickered coins.
My bank has 6 more boxes waiting for me-Hopefully more of the same!
Can’t wait to get this one shot but…
My coin room is under construction so I’ll have to show this lustful 68 in a 68 in cell pics from my temporary set up in the dining room.
Both in the same Loomis roll.
Not sure I've ever found an impaired SBA proof before.
The proof was actually the ender! I entirely forgot to take a pic of it.
Never found a Canadian dollar before, didn't know they were exactly the same size as our small dollars.
Okay I have my camera set back up and slowly getting the room back together.
After closer inspection I'm thinking 7+ on this one (same for the 70P from earlier) I have yet to hit MS68 on a business strike Washington so I don't want to get ahead of myself. Will post results once available.
Just found these 3 in a box of quarters. 1-2020 W MBR, 1-2020 W Tallgrass, and a quarter that was reduced to a dime and I believe it was caused by inflation.

Nice! The Tallgrass is a tough find now a days. Good thing that you got to it before it was reduced to 10 cents...

Congratulations! You just found the first 2024-D nickel on our boards. I entered your name on my new 2024 coins list. Now seriously; get that on eBay before the price drops!

My Chase teller said she got something strange...
I agreed. I told her I've only ever seen the plastic wrap rolls as new releases of all the same coin.
I've got plenty of them in my collection. Pennies, nickels, and mostly quarters.
I'm pretty sure I've never seen a plastic wrap roll as a mix/customer style roll.
I bought a roll of Franklin halves earlier in the year to roll search and saw this one that I could not match up. I sent it in to ANACS to have it attributed. I found out ( I’m presuming ) that they evidently only attribute known professionally verified varieties because it came back not a DDO. I decided to send it to James Wiles. It came back as a DDO and he gave it a new listing. I feel vindicated as I know that sometimes I see what’s not there but I ended up getting this one right ( for once or twice ). I checked and it’s not up yet on his site but hope to see it soon. I had another coin a year or so ago (DDO) that’s the twice I was talking about. It was the 2021 D Washington Crossing the Delaware 25c with a doubled ear that I also found coin roll searching.
I had really sold myself on this one to be a 67+ possible 8 well, it came back at MS67. Maybe it gets a trip back one day but for now it is an "A" coin for the grade. Semi PL so it shows every little imperfection and tough to shoot so here is the TV followed by my attempt pre-slab.
I bought these two rolls, Bicentennial Ikes, 1989-D Washington. Sealed rolls. I'll search through the quarters, they look spotless, The Ikes, tough ones.

You just have to assume the reverse looks as good as the obverse. 😁
I don’t think #4 is worth the cost of grading even in a 68 but I do like 11 and twelve.

This 1904 Panama 5 centsimos came from the dimes as well and is the same weight and purity as a silver dime. I really like it.

Here’s the goodies from my last hunt of August. From only $300 in nickels, I got 7 war nickels, 3 buffs, and my first V nickel of the year, a 1910. That is one that I hadn’t found before.
And my first 2024 nickel, go figure.
My box of dimes was a skunk, however, my box of halves made up for it with 2 silvers.
Overall some very nice finds.

Edit or maybe it is hidden better…
Overall I think it's better, but that scratch in the hair above his ear will hold it back. Honestly I think just the rim might hold it back...those rims are tough to find not ground up a bit lol.

This box got 2 W's, both 2020's and a nice 2008 Oklahoma... The 2 W's didn't come along until the final 15 rolls..
Guys,
Be aware! The 2020W Weir Farm's are spectacular at their new value for ms 67's!
