While I do love it the original 1940 Gum, Inc. Superman series is really cool too! Uff, do you own any of the Superman?

While I love the Steve Young rookie we all know how hard it is to get a PSA 9 or 10 grade on 86 Topps Football.

On a side note I was looking at all time rushing TD scorers per year and I saw Bronco Nagurski lead the league in 1932 with 4 TD's in 14 games.

I seem to recall that some members said your luck had gone cold ....
    Not from where I'm sitting!
Pulling a couple of perfectly centered, sharp 77 year old cards shows you still got it!

The color, design, and graphics are top shelf on the older wax. Just something about them that aces it. Let's not forget the artwork on the wrappers as well. Great posts.

    Still....beautiful cards!

I wonder when the term 'Deckle Edge' first made an appearance to describe those cards. The wrapper just describes them as 'Baseball Photos'.

Wonder if the ‘69 cards were already called deckle edge by ‘74 and Topps had no idea - or if the two sets were collectively called deckle edge much later. I know the ‘69 was called deckle edge in the early 80s and I wasn’t aware of the ‘74 set at that time.
