What kind of emotions or feeling do you go through when opening a pack or box? It has to be a thrilling!
It's definitely a fun experience. Each rip is a little different depending what it is. It's gonna be hard to ever top the Brown ROOKIE rip though - that was at a whole different level.
I seem to recall that some members said your luck had gone cold ....
Not from where I'm sitting!
Pulling a couple of perfectly centered, sharp 77 year old cards shows you still got it!

The color, design, and graphics are top shelf on the older wax. Just something about them that aces it. Let's not forget the artwork on the wrappers as well. Great posts.

The bold colors and snow white borders on 77-year-old cards is absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing these beauties. Cool to see 👍
Wonder if the ‘69 cards were already called deckle edge by ‘74 and Topps had no idea - or if the two sets were collectively called deckle edge much later. I know the ‘69 was called deckle edge in the early 80s and I wasn’t aware of the ‘74 set at that time.

A while back I shared the Franken Box of Topps Star Wars Series 4 Wax Packs.
Well it exposed 4 - C3PO's brandishing it's extended saber plus 1 - C3PO "half cocked" and not yet ready to battle.
Here are a few pics....
That Luke sticker is sweet!
Luke poses with his weapon.
C-3PO poses with his big weapon.
Scruff up the hair/beard a bit and he kind of looks like Pedro Pascal too.

Any new rips coming up?
I've been checked out a bit for various reasons.
Here is a 66 Batman Pack I opened. Tough to land centered Batman cards but managed one.
That BM set is so cool. Maybe my favorite of any superhero issue.
While I do love it the original 1940 Gum, Inc. Superman series is really cool too! Uff, do you own any of the Superman?

I've never owned any 1940 Superman but I definitely like it !!
86 Rack I opened a couple months ago.....
While I love the Steve Young rookie we all know how hard it is to get a PSA 9 or 10 grade on 86 Topps Football.
On a side note I was looking at all time rushing TD scorers per year and I saw Bronco Nagurski lead the league in 1932 with 4 TD's in 14 games.

3D Packs are fun...
Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!
Here is the oldest pack I've opened. I really like the Surprise Attack card!!
The color on those is amazing. What a fun crack.
I love those colours would have them all graded and then display them in my home!!!

How was the gum?
Man, those things are some of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. All beautiful.
What gum? It’s not called gum anymore…

Thanks and good luck on your continued RIPS!!

Not called Indians either
A pack you rarely see. 1974 TOPPS DECKLE EDGE.
I was REALLY hoping to hit a big HOF'er but came up short.
Still....beautiful cards!
I Wiki'd 'Deckle'. To understand the origins.
Burroughs had some great season(s), but that dude looked like he was in a slow pitch softball league.
i'm impressed you had cardsavers that fit!
Sounds better than scalloped or clam edge.
Those are beauties. Just 3 cards ? That is tough.
It's also better than 1974 Topps Badonkadonk Edge.....
He has that look of sitting on the end gate of his truck, crushing some PBR's before his next at softball bat...
PM sent
I wonder when the term 'Deckle Edge' first made an appearance to describe those cards. The wrapper just describes them as 'Baseball Photos'.

Until now, I had never knew 1974 Deckle Edge existed. Absolutely amazing stuff Uffdah!
Me either
This Winter weather makes one dream of an Island.....
I've seen the pack but never the cards. I loved that show as a kid.
Fantastic non-sport pulls!!!!

Did you buy the 1965 Topps wax box at Heritage for ripping?
Indian Gum cards are amazing. Vibrant colors.
The Cabin project also looking great. UFFDAH does nothing half way.
Hope you all Enjoy your Superbowl Weekend!!
