Looking for solid 8 or better Penguin. Centered, no tilt, no fish eyes.
Got pics?
Recent PSA9 sold for $111 while a SGC 8.5 (and no way was it an 8.5) sold for $16. Both sold by same seller at same time.
(EDIT: Oops. Just realized I forgot to mention they were minis. Anyway buyers seem to be buying the card, not the holder)
This is a true story. It's the summer of 1975, I am 19 years old and I went into 7-11 to get a slurpy and on the counter is an open box of 1975 baseball cards for a quarter a pack. So, I end up buying 5 packs and I go back to my 1966 Impala and I'm sitting in the car and I look at the packs and say to myself...I wonder what these packs will be worth in 20 years (1995)? 1995 seemed so far away! So I'm thinking should I keep them and don't open or do I open them. I said to myself, maybe 20 bucks a pack in 20 years? Nah, so I go ahead and open them and the best card out of the bunch was an off center Reggie Jackson.... I should have kept them unopened.

Ridiculous.
As others have noted, the grading standards have certainly slipped, but tighter, ALL the way to the tight side of the ship. I guess pretty OK for those buying today as you'd be getting pretty much "too" high quality for the given grade that you buy now, but it certainly makes reasonably-graded 6's and the like from the past appear too loosely graded in comparison.

It’s either my eyes or the camera, but some of these look like they have an opc rough cut. Is 75 Topps known for having rough cuts ? If indeed these really are.

Cool card for sure. My Son was an Infantry Squad Leader in the Marines, could do it all: run, jump, fight, you name it but the swimming aspect of becoming a SEAL is extremely hard to pass.
I think Uff is from Wisconsin. I love Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maine, and some of those other Northern States until the Winter time.
Successful coin BST transactions with Gerard and segoja.
Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.
Disheartening when you pull a key card that is off centered or has print issues, knowing that likely all the others of that player in that box will have the same issues.
Seems like you did get some pretty decently centered cards. You planning on subbing some of these?
I always liked the idea of the Carlton card, but the photo is about the worst of that set. Great action shot, but almost impossible to see anything on Carlton.

Yes - will plan to sub quite a few. This was definitely an exhilarating box to open!!

Pretty consistent with the hickey on the "X"

The force is strong in UFFDAH. I sense the goldenrod will flow in those packs.

Love the Winfields.
Amazing! My favorite card in the ‘75 set!

Beauties!
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
I've always thought the 58 Banks card could be a painting. It's a beauty.

That's pretty much a wrap on this 75 Vending Box. There is a stack of about 100 commons that are nicely centered.
That Parker is a beaut.
I wish they didn't all have that slight tilt...I cant unsee it now...super sharp otherwise!
Beautiful cards! You never know what you're going to get with vending.
I would be very happy!
