nice pick up, I thought the star wars were a bit pricey but who really cares. I have a box in my run and wanted that bbce packed box to rip but oh well. Hope you pull some erect c3p0's to prove to me I should have just manned up and payed the piper LOL

i would doubt there would be those c3po cards since that was most likely a first print run before they got to change it. these packs are in that type packaging most likely because they came from fun bags that bbce opened and didnt have the outer box. fun bags were produced around halloween time for parents to give packs out to kids instead of candy...different time frame....but theres always the chance the 1st print run box was destroyed and these all have a robot boner card

there were some very large bulk lots that went through one of the auction houses awhile back. I think this is the source of these bbce packed "boxes"
Those OJs are so cool. I still like getting his cards even though no one else does anymore.
I really hope that the price correction happening allows the unopened 76 FB to be a bit more affordable. That's my favorite set from the 70s but for the past few years everyone has been chasing those Paytons to crazy prices.
I've always like the Pro Action cards, but the photography is generally terrible. There are always too many people on the field, the players are too far a way, the crowd in the backgrounds are not a good backdrop for the players and the text of the players' names are almost impossible to read.
They're cool because they are so much of the time though.
If there is any evidence that PSA is being incredibly-stingy on assigning Gem 10 grades to cards these days - its evidenced by the photos of the "Gems" UFFDAH is sharing with the Forum!! BTW Thanks for sharing!

The 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan #57 in a PSA-10 is stuck on a POP of 318. I am fortunate to have had my PSA-9 reviewed a year ago when it bumped to a PSA-10. Yes…a PSA-10 is becoming very difficult these days.
Here's a 4 back this week. I really like the Civil War Cards.
Some more various grades to share then I need to do some more ripping and get cards in the grading queue. Been pretty busy this summer with outdoor work on the acres but starting to feel like opening some more.

Do you have an opinion as to why that's a 4, and if it was warranted, since it's not obvious from the pic?
Obviously was hoping for a whale card which did not happen.

Sequencing
No sequencing on this one. Cold Turkey Rip.
Isn't Moore a HOFer too? That's a cool card.
Congrats!!!!
So, since I don’t know, what would the PSA grading cost be on such a card?
Live long, and prosper.
Mike McCormack (HOF), Lou Creekmur (HOF), Lenny Moore (HOF)
It’s too bad about the snow on Johnny…it looks otherwise like a nice 8. 👍
some weird last names on some of those players. congrats on the Unitas.
Chris,
Do you know the top card sequence etc? I hope so otherwise your pulls confuse me!!! Congrats.
I knew no sequence of this pack. I wanted to open a 57 so I opened it. It was a complete gamble.
A few back from grading.

My bet is 2 centered CP's and the Spielberg 1:1 auto. Lol.

Wow. That 76 Tarkenton RB is solid. How is that only an 8?
Thanks,

1985 Topps Football (starting in psa 8) - #9 - started 05/21/06
I say it got dung for the OPC rough cut!
A couple 74's...
One of the Staubach Rookies I pulled from Rack Packs.
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed seeing that unfold. Any guess on how the Unitas will grade?
I hope to know on the Unitas in a week or so.
Any 10s?
Out of all the cards I have submitted thus far you would think there would be a few 10's.
Here is a Johnny U

Pulled this Jordan a few years back. I opened an entire Retro Box at the time. I still have the card.
A POP 5 PSA 10
Love those pro action cards. Great stuff Chris.

I don't see him getting 4s out of nowhere either.

That’s the number the dart hit
@RonSportscards - I'll take a look at that Civil War card when I get it back. It shipped yesterday.
Maybe a wrinkle on the back edge by the word renegade?
Some cards from a 59 TOPPS CELLO PACK.

A PSA 9 POP 9 - NO 10's
Beautiful cello pack, Chris!
A POP 7 only ONE HIGHER
Chris…
Nice hit on the Aaron special!
