I'm undecided but I might wait for it to go on backorder and then order. That should give me at least a few weeks to mull it over while I have the coin reserved. That is, if it doesn't go directly from in stock to sold out which also might happen.

The 2015 $100 American Liberty gold sold 49,325 coins. Gold price was only around $1,200/ounce.
The Mint is still selling the 2017 $100 Liberty gold with 38,789 sold so far. Gold price was +/- $1,200-1,300 in 2017.
The 2019 sold out at 24,609. Gold moved up strong from around $1,500 to 2,000.
The 2021 sold out at 12,471 and was a popular design that would have sold more, if not limited. Gold varied $1,650-1,950.
This 2023 at 12,500 should sell out. Gold around $1,900-2,000.This is a great modern set to collect.

i decided to buy one of the High Relief Gold Coins. The American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin for 2023 looks beautiful. I have been waiting all year for this coin since I saw the design released. I hope it looks better in person than in pictures.
Only time will tell whether platinum is king.5 -
I might get one. Still available. This is my second favorite after the classic 2009. The 2015, 2017 and 2019 I wouldn’t buy. The 2021 is ok but I probably wouldn’t reach for my wallet.

Clue: keep refreshing the source page to reveal the lowest figure. It bounces between multiple servers with older/newer updates. I see 491 & 458...

I only know the exact time because I was on the fence with this coin. First I thought, oh too much expense, it's kind of pretty though, then I thought, it really is a beautiful, outstanding coin and since I missed the galloping horse gold, I should get one. Logged in at 12:02, put one in my bag, looked at the description one last time, put in new CC info, finally clicked the final button BUY...lo and behold, it was gone. Looked at the time, it was 12:04. So I figure it blinked out at 12:03.
Still in my bag...heh heh......

well we spend unnecessary money here and there. it's not a bad idea to buy what you love...especially if it's a beautiful coin like this one......
I ordered one and I will never sell it. I will give it to my niece (later in life) who will be born in few weeks. So it matches her birth-year.4 -

Did not get the gold. I did not want to pay that high of a premium over the value of the gold. I bought the silver medal instead. I really like the design and feel that the silver is a cleaner (less cluttered) version of the design. Love it.

Just waiting for my credit card to go into the next cycle. I paid a lot this week for the Gold liberty and 10 Peace/Morgan proofs.
