We used to occasionally meet up at the Baltimore Show to visit and talk tokens. He had an extremely sharp mind for coins and was an avid numismatic historian. He’d sometimes text me to see if I was “ready” to part with a particular Hard Times Token he knew I had, one of which I finally decided to sell him late last year. Even though I probably could’ve made money on it somewhere else, I knew it would be in the best hands with him and would make him happy ... and I knew he’d never stop asking me about it haha. I’m definitely going to miss him. RIP Frank. 🙏🏻

Very terrible news. I talked with him over the years. Incredibly knowledgeable and a very sweet guy with a cutting sense of humor. We did a coin deal a few years ago and in that deal I obtained a wonderful cool token that I will always hold on to. He will surely be missed around these parts. A sad day in deed.
Like everyone else on this thread, I am deeply saddened by this news. He was a great sounding board and incredibly knowledgeable, I never got to meet up in person but he was always quick to reply to PMs. One of his many collecting passions was modern proof errors. Truly a big loss to the hobby, my sincerest condolences to his family.

Do you know how long the average police officer lives after he retires? FIVE YEARS! I have been very lucky to have a spouse who allowed me to do multiple high risk activities and major travel.

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
I'm glad I once told him I loved him and that his sense of humor was awesome. .
