I posted this one before in the 2x2 cardboard. Yesterday I borrowed a friend's scale so decided to take it out from its resting place for the last 30 years and weigh it.

That was my first thought when I saw it. Neat error. Question for the error experts: Is this worth getting slabbed?

Could I ask, where/how you acquired it?

@OAKSTAR I got it from a coin dealer about 32 years ago along with a few other cool error coins.

    That is pretty cool!

So, with two clad layers and a copper center, is that a 3.33c piece? :D

Awesome piece. I would get it slabbed if it were mine.

Imagine having a mated pair of the detached piece and the original coin it came from.

How cool would it be to have both halves in a PCGS two-coin slab? B)

Good idea to get it slabbed... Protection for sure, authenticity for potential sale at some point. Cheers, RickO

Well now. What do we have here😎
Not only are you awesome at helping with our collection but it would seem you have some very cool things tucked away.
Maybe anacs is a good choice for slabbing.
We really like it and once again you pull a rabbit out of a hat 😉🙀🦫

Very cool error. I would slab it for the same reasons @ricko stated.

    Good to know!

I have to ask, is there a "detached inner clad layer" too?
