if they are not on backorder then they are almost certainly on the shelf in memphis or at least en route to memphis.
despite the mint product page showing no limit. I suspect that is an error since every other year in the past had a mintage limit. Also, the premiums on the bullion ASE seem to indicate a blanks supply problem. There is probably an as yet unstated limit.

i'm predicting a halt in ASE production before the end of the year.
I’m kinda confused. Do they have them on the shelf ready to go or is production down 😉🙀🦫
Note that I stated there was no shortage of silver for the current proof release. Also note that I am predicting a halt in ASE production before the end of the year. ASEs that just sold are on the shelf. Subsequent ASEs not yet sold will likely see a halt in production sometime before the end of the year. Yes, I'm predicting the mint will at some point this year not be able to produce silver collector coins.
The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.
The USM didn't routinely post product or mintage limits for regular issues (ASE, proof set, mint set) until last year, when production issues became a problem. You can still pull up the schedules from 2019 and 2020 and see the limits as 'none' (not indicating unlimited mintage only that they weren't listing a limit).
The mint has announced a total of just below 750,000 of the W proof and that they would ship in two batches. I think that while enrollments were high they anticipated a drop in the enrollments (many people still had high numbers from last year) and minted only a portion of that (300,000 of the 500,000 maybe) and at some point based on orders yesterday will have another run. I think actual production issues (labor, restrictions) are more of an issue than an actual shortage of silver.
Congratulations done. Backorder availability for regular W proof. Interesting, they didn’t remove the HHL still 10. 😉🙀🦫
Now what will the big buyers do?
Limit gone now but it does not matter. These coins will neve go for more than a couple of dollars over mint cost and eventually melt if you are lucky. The mint will create more apparent rarities for the big buyers to pump and dump with their manufactured "Advance Release" bs labels. The writing is on the wall for flipping new mint issues.

Just checked, ~10 mins after your post (probably MUCH sooner) ... at REMIND ME, none available.

I agree. I am overdosing on the ASEs. The dealers are pushing them like they are some sort of valuable exotic rarity. And let's not forget all the graded ASEs signed by John Mercanti. That guy must have signed millions of them over the years.
Used to love Proof SAE coins, and have all of the keys but these are making me nauseous. Even the beloved "S" proofs are NOT really limited this year. I'm gone on the ordinaries.
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.
My Order History on the US Mint website is all messed up. It show my last order was shipped in Sept. 2021 and yet I just received the 2022 Proof Set yesterday. Not sure when/if my ASE enrollments will be honored or not though my enrollment page says all my enrollments are active.

sometimes random files get corrupted or deleted. Computers have their share of flaws. Previous posts have said it is difficult or even impossible to get the mint to correct their history. Some have even resorted to making a new account and starting over. Good luck trying to get it fixed.

I do have a notice on Informed Delivery saying pre-shipping info is at the US Mint Distribution Center in Memphis Awaiting item. I am assuming it’s the ASE, but there is no notification on the Order page. Credit card dinged for $73 5 days ago.

My enrollment (more than a year old) did not process or ship, credit card not charged. I received the heads up email telling me to verify my enrollment information, and this enrollment processed in 2021 normally. I called them, they checked and everything appears in order. They are try to determine what didn't happen . I placed an backorder order (for May), it shipped this morning.
Thought I’d catch up a little.
My congratulations set is confirmed but not shipped.
With regard to the enrollment program . I have an enrollment for (4) W ase proofs. A week before release I changed my quantity to zero but kept the enrollment open. I was notified same day of change to enrollment. It also moved from active portion to the section listing enrollment’s but with zero as quantity. Didn’t remove enrollment. While everyone else was being contacted they skipped me, as expected.
I was grabbing a congratulations set and done.
Today I returned the quantity to 4 and ✔️active. Got a notice of update, moved enrollment to active part of list but further down and indicates next year 4 reserved.

If you have not already eliminated it as a potential cause, here is a possibility to investigate ....
The credit card information used for online purchases is not stored in the same location as the credit card information used for enrollments.
The credit card stored under "Payment Methods" is used for online purchases (e.g., your backorder that has already shipped).
You can access the credit card information associated with a specific enrollment by doing the following:
~ Left click (LC) on "My Product Enrollments";
~ LC on the enrollment of interest. In this case, "American Eagle Silver One Ounce Proof Coin Enrollment (W) (MN)";
~ LC the "Billing & Delivery" tab";
~ Scroll down to "Payment Method" and review the credit card information on file.
Note - to update the credit card information for a specific enrollment, 'check' the "Update Payment" box.

Thanks,
That was one of the first things I checked. It was the same card/account/address that they used to process a proof set enrollment successfully a week prior. The cudtomer service perdon checked over the data and said she could see no reason why it failed to process. Faulty CC info should show order and cancellation.

Thanks sorry about spelling.
Well, I guess they figured it out... I think. I did not recieve an explaination or response but there is now a shipped order which has all of my account info on it. The order has a "USS" number which means it's an enrollment order. Everything checks out except the order does not populate on my order history list. It seems as though it was manually generated with an enrollment order number. While I appreciate the effort, I am more concerned with why the enrollment failed to process.
The silver quarters proof set has been available for almost two weeks after on sale when it was supposed to be almost gone by enrollment. Will the W ASE become available again at some point ? Only time will tell.

Good luck getting the coins you want.

My understanding (and it says so on my enrollments page) is:
"If you would like to modify product enrollments or payment methods, please do so by 11:59 PM ET 2 days prior to the product scheduled release date for updates to be reflected on your next shipment. All other updates will be reflected on the next scheduled ship date for each program."
However, having opened a chat on the site, 2022 enrollments are closed for the year per a mint employee.
I'll assume he knew what he was talking about, but...

You** can not** add a new enrollment, however if you have an existing enrollment already you can change the quantity prior to the release date subject to the following limitations:
it says 2 days prior , however some said it was locked 3 days prior. to avoid issues you should do sooner.
you are subject to the HHL or the number of coins available if you want to increase your quantity.
Remember 'The Mint is like a box of chocolates" Rules, HHL or product limits are subject to change.
Spin that Mint Wheel and hope you land on a lucky space !!!!

As I understand it, the "household order limit" does not apply to enrollments. It only affects people ordering from the website.
The HHL for 22EA at release was 10. Anyone have an enrollment filled for more than 10 coins?
Edited to add: @Burnie - I see from an earlier post that you had an enrollment for 25 x Proof-W ASEs. If you do not mind sharing, did you get all 25 per your enrollment, or were you limited to 10 per the HHL?

I’m just glad the USMint has all of this expert guidance to plan their production. How did they ever make it this long on their own?
The USM didn't routinely post product or mintage limits for regular issues (ASE, proof set, mint set) until last year, when production issues became a problem. You can still pull up the schedules from 2019 and 2020 and see the limits as 'none' (not indicating unlimited mintage only that they weren't listing a limit).
