Newly arrived! My second all time favorite SCD slightly behind HK-398 (Panama Canal)...
USAF (Ret) 1974 - 1994 - The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. Remembering RickO, a brother in arms.
What is NOT a recent purchase is that Reiver BB-185 bust dollar. Thought I would easily outbid and then came a couple guys whop went crazy on it. It sold a year ago January at Heritage for $3480 (complete). Final GC bid tonight (before the juice) was $5750. I wasn't going to $6k.
2 New type set acquisitions. A couple half dimes. The 1870 is a really pretty toner and really comes alive in the light, still has a ton of luster and the 1851 is also quite nice. They'll be going into the dansco this afternoon. A big thanks to Coinpaesan on Ebay he worked with me quite a bit. These are his pictures reused with his permission.
Members I have done business with: Silverman68, jfoot13, GAB, ricman, Smittys, scrapman1077, RyGuy, Connecticoin, Meltdown, VikingDude, Peaceman, Patches and more.
I have been wanting one of these for just about 6 years and I have been on a wait list to get one. Well, they became available yesterday and I jumped at the chance to acquire one. I will get it graded but even though it just mailed to me today I am confident it will be a PERFECT MS70 coin.

Happy Easter. 😉🦫🙀
Well cat and beaver got up early and surprised grandpa with a beautiful new SCD/ commemorative. ( they tried some story about the Easter Beaver but I ain’t buying it 😳)
Presenting my new gift 🎁
The Easter Beaver was busy 🦫
Grandpa’s main reason for being here. My grandson (8) and his gifts
( I was thinking about how much candy is there but he’s great about his teeth and has never had a cavity 😳).
Not to mention as a collector he’ll be busy sorting and grading all of it😉
@Jzyskowski1 I’ve always loved that scd. I think there are 2 versions of this one but, can’t remember if I have one of each….lol The only difference is large letters and small letters.

Thoughts on this purchase, ANACS 1971-S Ike, MS68. Even if it grades 67 it was still affordable. Updates in several months when it crosses.
Can’t see the reverse but are you going to be ok with 65-66. The obverse has multiple problems.
I would not attempt a cross over unless a couple points down is cool. I understand wanting a certain slab , sometimes it’s better to sell and replace. I would be curious to see both sides. Take your time and get a good one of each side.
I’m learning to grade and also getting some good natured humor for missing by a mile on guess the grades. 😉🙀🦫

@ZoidMeister that has to be my favorite set issued by DC. I saw that set on the BST last week. Priced at a very nice bargain.

@Jzyskowski1 I think what you posted is mostly surface scratches on the holder, I think it's probably 67. I'll let you know in 3-4 months.
she's a little lower grade then I might have liked for the type set, but her eye appeal more then makes up for the grade

I finally scored a "Smoker Token" of my own, but it's not a Levick. This one I can actually afford.
Minted by die sinker Greenduck Co. of Chicago circa 1920's I believe.
I love the motto on the reverse.
