All have been shipped.
The shipping email notifications are sent automatically when I mark the order as "shipped" in the store's database.
But if it was a mailed-in order (payment by check with host coin), then there is no order in the store's database to mark as "shipped". In some cases I might not even have or know the buyer's email address.

Would it be possible to have the USPS Tracking number added to the ship notice when the order ships? I don't know if that could be set-up to be automatic so it doesn't cost you a lot of time to do it manually?

If I was using shipping labels, there might be a way to do that (with some effort to set it up).
But most of the time I am using up bunches of older stamps (that don't work with shipping labels). And so I would have to look up, and then manually enter into the database, every tracking number.

Expensive shipments are always sent via Registered mail, so there is always a trail to follow (if necessary).

Can't we force him to print more out since its so much in demand why not produce about 1000 of each so everybody can have one? That seems fair. Maybe have a court order have Dan have to produce these coins as part of a right to Universal Daniel Carr coins and we unionize or Courtize!

An 1834 Draped Bust Dollar could be pretty cool!

Be careful what you wish for though! The first time, you had to produce a donor Draped Bust Dollar so this may be the same. Check out the prices on those.

The donor coin cost probably affected the Liberty Double Eagle production numbers. Only 20 and 23 minted.

There are certainly a lot of rare and wonderful things Dan's created over the years!

I just got back from the annual So-Called Dollar Fellowship and I was able to see very rare and high condition pieces that I would normally never get a chance to see.

It would be great to have a Dan Carr Club or something similar where people can get together and share their rare Moonlight Mint items!

I have this piece which says DCC on the obverse. I like to think of it standing for "Dan Carr Club" but it really stands for "Denver Coin Club".

I ordered it, paid for it then canceled it due to my Mom's passing. I put everything on hold for a bit.
I settled on a 1934 $20 as she was born in 1934, so how cool was that ?

Very nice. Mine has spent the day in Chicago and stopped moving. Excited to see mine.

None that I could see and mine was pretty bad too. Maybe on the reverse right side, in the field
you see a small pit. I don't remember it being there but then again as soon as the coin arrived I sent it off.
I'll look to see if I took an image before and compare.

This was a pretty roughed up MS60/61 coin before Daniel worked his magic. It is neat to see the old date in the background of the new date. Liberty had some pretty good hits to her face and neck on the host coin. I didn't take pictures before but the afters don't seem to have them. I do have before and afters of my 1875S that is coming back in the next few days as a 1848 CAL. I will post both when able to.

I asked Daniel about that. He said he was not sure why the O/S process was causing the copper tone to the coin. They are all coming out that way.

I don’t think the O/S Saint Gaudens had that happen. Those always look good to me. Maybe I’m wrong in that. I don’t own one, yet.

From what I've seen, Dan traditionally keeps the denomination the same, but it's an interesting thought given how much gold Lincoln or Indian Head Cents are worth.

There were 20 of the 1848 CAL and 23 of the 1908O struck. It will be interesting to see how many of them show up here on CU.

I opted for the O mint myself… two of them in fact. Got them both in about a month ago, I choose a specific date coin for the main attraction, a 1907-D host coin which I posted a pic of earlier in this thread.

Anacs made a small error with my last submission and customer service offered me a complimentary grade and image. I sent the 1908-O over 1907-D to them and the results are in MS-70. I’ll post the “trueview” once it uploads, the underdate was visible.

The other one I got from a friend was a 1901-S which has found a new home in my pocket with some Landis friends…lol.

Here she is, you can see some silvery rub/transfer from the silver dollars, and interestingly enough, the dollars have golden cheeks now.

As far as quality goes, they are both lovely pieces. Dan himself mentioned something about these not being a sharp as he would have liked (earlier in this thread) but I think the somewhat muted design has a certain charm to it as most New Orleans double eagle suffer from poor strikes and weak elements. This one has a bit of “finning” on a part of the obverse and reverse rims and while the 07 had no marks, this one came with a small mark on the eyebrow (all the other marks are due to me carrying it)

Dan said he adjusted his machines to make clearer designs. I would love to see this one redone in Prooflike, but from what I understand the host coin plays an important part in achieving a PL finish. I think a 1909-O st. Gaudens would also be awesome as there are no O mint st gaudens out there.
