    Very interesting. In modern warfare does it take that long to launch each aircraft? It seems like watching the old WWII documentaries that one plane would zip off right after another. With today's regulated/mandated safety checks the enemy would have the responsive time advantage, yes?

    Now we need one showing a landing onto the deck. Must be even more challenging especially if the seas have turned rough.

    Cat tails have become somewhat of a rarity here in Northeastern Ohio, being replaced by sea grass, which is tolerant of the salt used on roads in the winter.

    I haven't seen them for years either here in the Northland or maybe it was just my imagination that I remembered seeing them as a child here instead of while visiting more southern climes.

    The Sea Grass was non-extant here 40 years ago. All the wet areas were exclusively Cat Tails.

    Thanks for those added video clips of the landings. My admiration to those brave pilots.

    Actually it is my brother that has the float plane of which I posted photos along with family members flying with him.

    Renman95 who recently retired to Hawaii from his world air travels has also shared a number of photos here as he ventured around the world. Thanks for the kind words relating to my pictures from various locales as well.
