We live way up in the Colorado mountains. Years ago on the way to work(gravel county road). Rural working on a monster 10,000 sq ft 2nd home. We met a mom with baby and they held the road closed for 45 minutes. Late to work but acceptable excuse. Surprised you got so close. They are fast and big. Don’t realize until you see em in person.
One more funny. Years back an out of state hunter came through town. He was all decked out in his proper hunter uniform and had a sweet old early check type jeep. Stopped by the local watering hole and proclaimed his intent to bag a “cow” moose. Drinks all around and a hearty good luck, off he went.
Few days later here he comes with his kill strapped across the hood. Circling the parking lot and honking the horn. Well out we went and there standing proudly was the great hunter! And strapped across the hood was his female moose! Problem was farmer Smith recognized his prized mule! Yep this guy bagged his limit of jackass and more. Local judge doesn’t go for that kind of thing… took his gun the jeep and a heafty fine😂

Another hobby! N scale, don’t have room for a permanent layout so I just play around with different track designs. Hopefully someday I’ll have space!

FYI : A fellow whom I've known since I was a rug rat, I remembered a story he passed on to our group
one night. So I called him last night asking about the event he told us that night.
He is, was, (whatever) in that band of brothers.
101 Airborne, Battle Group 506, Fort Gamble, Ky. 1962 -1965
During a trainning jump, with his canapy full of air and decending his comrad was directly above him
and landed on the top of his shute as there was no air to open his bubble. He slid down the open shute
grabbing the air he needed to get the job done. Friends forever sums this up.
As this week's Friday draws to a close, here are photos taken this day on the eve of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11.
Remembering all who lost their lives on that day and reflecting upon how those events impacted each of us altering our perspectives including an added appreciation for the rainbows, sunflowers, sunsets, and other experiences of daily life.

Photos from this Labor Day Morning:
First this Cow Moose stepped out in front of me:
I then moved in closer:
Unexpectedly, a Bull Moose emerged from the trees. Fortunately I had not gotten between the two:
As the Bull headed off in chase of the Cow my presence was of lesser interest which averted its turning on me.

Is that a superimposed Statue of Liberty or an actual view with the statue in its natural location?
