I’ll post some pics if you don’t laugh too hard 😂. When I was way new. So rubber bands and all (they arrived busted loose!

I learned that I get what I pay for 😂. They are all graded 🤣70😂. I replaced those 70 with coins I had that looked better. I can say that they don’t grade very well and their slabs seem lacking. I get a little chuckle looking at them now

@Jzyskowski1 Mine isn't graded and is really loose in the holder. A relative gave it to me. They probably overpaid.

If you have not already, try googling "international numismatic bureau". Although some are a little dated, there seem to be several relevant results.

Note - I am hesitant to 'post/link' anything here because of the "Forum Rules" (i.e., "4. Posts promoting or bashing other grading companies or services are not allowed.").

I saw some coins with those labels for sale at a local coin show a few weeks ago. I have not heard of that company outside of that.

Positive BST as a seller: Namvet69, Lordmarcovan, Bigjpst, Soldi, mustanggt, CoinHoader, moursund, SufinxHi, al410, JWP

I am not familiar with that TPG.... Do not recall ever seeing those slabs at shows. Cheers, RickO

    never heard of them

Sort of look like Numistrust holders.

  • BStrauss3BStrauss3 Posts: 3,807 ✭✭✭✭✭

Garbage, and not even sealed. Sold by the 100s and 1000s in fleaBay dealer lots. If 1 in 100 is accurately graded and attributed, I'd be surprised.

No, @Smudge these are nothing like Numistrust - those are sonically sealed. FWIW, there are about 20 companies I've found using the NumisTrust holders.

I have just this one for the slab collection. These are not sealed.

If you want to have fun, open them all up and swap the coins around.

Anyone with the capability to create labels can buy Coin World "slabs" and start their own slabbing company. That is probably such a concoction.

When mine arrived they were all scattered and open. I put better coins in than the 70’s😂 that came with them originally 🤓🙀. Pretty big operation for the basement lots out there but I am never surprised by people and their ingenuity 🤓🙀

Their slabs don't have the embossed CW logo, but they're probably buying generic job lots from China. Extruded plastic parts are pretty cheap once you cover the cost of the molds and buy in large boxes. They're $1 each in lots of 100 on Ali.

I’ll dig out the slabs and look them over for production numbers or manufacture stamps. If there is anything I’ll post it for fun

This looks like the Elmer Fudd grading service. :p

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
