That's still a better deal than the Mint's price on silver coins, which are still at least triple the price of silver.
I cannot believe that people buy this at such high prices, I guess people really do have money to burn.

Absolutely, I am sure that the flippers bought most of these and plan to make a killing. I have no doubt that ebay is seeing a huge increase in listings right now.

These are not bullion coins, they are collector coins. Would you pay spot for an MS-65 Morgan silver dollar? If you want bullion, you buy the UNCs from an AD.

Frankly I could care less what somebody’s sell price is. If it doesn’t float my boat in what I can sell it far and make a decent margin not a buyer.

Yes, my local dealer showed me a new Proof Silver Eagle yesterday. Instead of the nice velvet lined boxes they used to come in, they are now in a cheap cardboard box.

I bought one for keepsake being the transition from Type 1 to Type 2. Perhaps my kid will enjoy it when he inherits it down the line.
It was sold out quickly and many were bought up by those wanting to flip instantly for profit and eBay seems to have many listings of the same.

Generally the people who buy 1/10th ounce of gold are the people that don't want to spend what it takes to own 1 ounce of gold.
Not necessarily. I picked up the pricey American Liberty 2021 High Relief Gold Coin two weeks after the August 5th purchase of the 1/10ths.
It just so happened that I preferred the new design on the smaller sized coin better.

The 1/10 oz were the most popular size at the recent show I attended. Some people buying over 1 oz in total. If you own 1 oz coins you have to sell a full oz at a time.
Edit: But at $220 there was not a crazy premium as listed in the thread title.

I personally have zero interest in these coins. Its not because of the price, i just dont desire these coins. That being said i do like the ase and other silver coins. I buy them because i like the look, design ect and am not concerned so much about the price. I am buying them to collect as beautiful coins( my opinion) and not as a bullion piece. That is where people get it wrong. If you buying these coins as a long term investment i think you need a new financial advisor. Not against flippers. If that is your game then good luck to you.
