First coin I have bought since 1968!

A couple of months ago I dug out my so called coin collection from back in the day. It's been fun going through it as it brought back great memories, even if it is mainly low grade coins. Heck I had to scrape money up so I could do it!
I remember wanting coins I couldn't even dream of buying, but at the time I was fine with that as I was able to get coins I wanted and that felt great to own.
Well I am not going for high-end coins still, but I have decided that I will start picking up a few choice pieces that appeal to me today. Nothing earth shattering, just pure enjoyment.
I love the patina on this, photo makes it look a bit blotchy, but it's smooth and even. I just can't capture it with an iPhone photo through a magnifier lamp.
AU-58 which is plenty fine for me!

Congrats on your first numismatic purchase in over 50 years. Buy what you like and makes you happy. AU coins tend to look very nice with plenty of meat on them.
Nice start on your return to this wonderful hobby.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
@Jimsokay ... Welcome back to the coin hobby. Very nice large cent. Next step, go to a coin show and get 'coin overload' fever.... Have fun. Cheers, RickO
