That’s two weeks since the AGE flipped.

The Great Sunday may have been the last good shot. I'd totally guess that they'll be one more.

It seems that they held them for a while and offered up what remained on that day. Perhaps they'll do one more time as they gather up whatever remains. Pure guess of course.

It's worth noting that just because they show AGE's "available", it doesn't mean they exist.

Remember, they do not resell returns. They typically mint an extra 10% or so, just in case. But we don't know how many extra they minted and whether they've been redistributed already. So, for example:

    They mint 1975 of them.

    They had 35 returns.

Only 1940 coins were distributed, but the other 5 don't exist. They then have to decide whether to retool and strike another 5 or 6 or just let it go. Given the late date in the year, they may not have time in the production schedule.

Generally I would hv agreed with those numbers but...

would the mint distinguished the difference between a customer opened box returns or a unopened box returns (undeliverable addresses, etc)?

I would be extremely surprise if there was any opened box returns.

Surely the unopened box returns gets thrown back into the "AM morning" pile, no?

No, they do not, as far as we know. They would all have to be opened and inspected. There is no such thing as an unopened box. The Mint has said numerous times that they do not resell returns.

Coins that go back on sale are either canceled orders or coins from the make-up overflow.

Google it, there's a number of Mint pronouncements in Coin World articles over the years.

I joined PCGS collectors club in 2011 as part of the 2011 ASE set publicity, have been on here ever since. Mostly a small time collector (I'm over 60), so all I can say is thanks to all who share their knowledge. I won't start posting 20 times a day, but my blood is still up........................

    Sales numbers are out.

AGE privy 1,936 (9 left) +0 (at most 8 left as a member here got one)
    ASE privy 74,856 (144 left) -117
    1/2 oz gold 7,134 (366 left) -348
    Silver medal 19,844 (156 left) -154

So many coins came back to inventory for all except the AGE.

It seems at this stage that you pretty much have to have one in your cart still to have success with it in the morning. How many on here still have a V75 AGE in their cart? I know several mentioned lately that their carts have been emptied by the US Mint.

Not sure why one would encapsulate the COA for the AGE. They aren’t numbered or signed to my knowledge. Unless you just want to preserve the whole package. I’m not sure it adds any real value in this case.

I fixed the ASE for you, you evidently had copied and pasted but did not change it.

I wonder if all 1945 coins will be released to have the symbolic mintage number of 1945. Seems pretty unlikely.

AGE! The big Daddy of all time. I'm now in the 1945 club. I have the $20.95 expedited shipping, so unless something blows up I should know in the next couple of days. My hands are starting to shake a little. And I'm no bot, just a guy on the east coast who shows up at work at 7:30 every morning and signs into the mint website. Once I refreshed and it went "live" I clicked my mouse twice myself to check the box and submit, and then got the golden "THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER".

    Congrats!!!!
