I would say the earliest I would even consider a show would be maybe the 2021 ANA Worlds Fair of Money if it'll still be held in Chicago. Contrary to nitwit statements, this virus isn't going to 'magically disappear' ANYTIME in the near future and may get far worse this fall/winter and last and year or two going forward. There isn't a coin on earth that I would risk picking up Covid-19 for.......well, maybe an 1822 half eagle.

Your hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need it.
With the exception of groceries and necessary supplies, I will not go anywhere public that is indoors. I usually like to hand pick nice 90% silver at my local B&M. However, not work risking my life, or the life of my family for. I will buy online and the BST for the foreseeable future.
I don't know when I'll venture out other than locally, although local shows are still not happening as far as I can tell. I'm fortunate that I have a few coin dealer friends who will send me coins on spec for me to examine and buy if I choose. This lets me see the coins that I'm interested in without going to the national shows or traveling to lot viewings or just bidding in auctions without having seen the coin in hand. I'm lucky to have this option. I still miss shows and "the hunt" as others have mentioned, and can't wait to get back to it when it's more safe to do so.
No shows here anyway, so under these conditions, it is a mixed blessing. Being in a 'high risk' group, I limit my exposure as much as possible (though back to work at the range a few days a week now). Not sure when this virus will run it's course....lasting longer than I thought initially. I hope shows are able to resume this year...I miss the reports. Cheers, RickO
I ended up booking the Dallas trip. Definitely skipping Vegas because no on-site grading, which doesn’t bode well for the show, and anyway I’m not ready to die.

I would say Winter FUN but at this rate, I don't see that show as happening. There are too many people that are eager to spread COVID-19. In Florida there has been 5,000 - 10,000 new cases EVERY DAY for the last week, That does not exactly give me confidence in anything happening close to normal.
Ive heard the virus may be spreading in the southern states due to hot weather ie people spending time inside in AC where the air is dryer and maybe not moving around enough. Kind of the flipside of what happens in the winter

Just as soon as they come up with a vaccine for this deadly virus I will be like a wild animal out of a cage, truth. I can’t wait for that day to arrive. Saving my money and ready to hit the ground running, well, walking fast😊
There may never be a vaccine. We may have to reach herd immunity.
Can't believe they are holding our 1 day show here in Hotlanta next Sunday. Cases are skyrocketing here. Needless to say I called and informed the Bourse Chairman he can sell my table. I still think it may not happen if the cases keep escalating as they have the last few days.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I think it is spreading because Unmasked people are around Unmasked people too much.
May the force and the odds be with you if you want to continually tempt fate.
Interestingly, I see more of our local coffee shops shutting down because they find employees have Covid and surprisingly they “might“ be giving it to their customers.
That expensive java is costing some more than they anticipated.
While not coin-specific, I did just get back from a househunting trip and made sure I stopped at as many coin shops along the way as I could, which amounted to 4. I was very lucky, picking up a bunch of OBW 56-D Cent rolls (American Trust Co SF CA and California Bank Head Office LA CA) plus several other rolls, including a beautiful 40-S in original "Foil Lined Coin Wrap" wrapper. Didn't find a house to buy but got some nice rolls out of the trip!

Going to the shop is a road trip for me. I did hit the road, to buy collections this year. Don't tell the health professionals or wife I have spent more than the stimulus check covered.
My next coin trip will be to the local post office. I have ordered three more coins with Roman emperors on them.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Currently, my next show is the Long Beach in September. Hopefully it will not be cancelled, but it's not looking good based on the news. The next "bigger show", I'll certainly be at, whenever it is!

If COVID-19 situation improves, well, maybe late this year or early next year.
If it doesn't improve, my next show is on the 12th of Never.
