    1854-C Type II gold dollar.

It was listed for years in "The Red Book" with a mintage of 4 and an "Unknown" lebel. As it turned out the mintage was a misinterpretation of the mint records. The issue never existed.

A 73-S seated dollar would be a nice addition to the 7070.

I think I proved that they never made any. However, as a fantasy coin it might work!

    1964- D Peace Dollar
    1964 Morgan Dollar
A 1964 Franklin over struck on one of the above or over a generic 64 Kennedy.

It also sounds more realistic in terms of possible existence.

Matte proof 1794 dollar or 1795 eagle would be pretty cool.

Not necessarily my "ultimate", but one that hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread (or anywhere else, ever):

    1859 "COL" Quarter Eagle.

    Yes, or any "pioneer" $3.
The $3 denomination was never used much in commerce and so that is why no pioneer mint made any.
But if I were to make one it would be a Clark Gruber, of course.

    Well . . . . . . . .the 1964-D Peace, the ultimate 'fantasy' coin.

    Hmmmmmm . . . . wait.

Both of the owners now would object violently to the calling of their piece a 'fantasy' coin . . . . . guaranteed.

Maybe a Liberty Cap Half Cent weakly struck on a Gloucester Courthouse Token.

    Otherwise, maybe an 1893-S DMPL.

Not that exotic, but I would like to have an 1895-P Morgan Dollar business strike.

How about a n 1836 Republic Of Texas Dollar?, It could be a series from 1836 to 1845, when it was independent.

Then an 1861 Succession Dollar when Texas tried to succeed from the Union.

@dcarr Can this happen?, It would be a nice series, and they would sell well.

Well the Texas dollar is out, but maybe a Franklin's obverse with a 1776 - 1976 date and the Bicentennial half reverse?
